BAHAHAHA Careful or you'll end up like that movie director who posed with the dinosaur and some very "smart folk" on the internet couldn't believe how he was allowed to hunt these animals and kill such a magnificent creature....
Finally got back into a bit more hunting myself. Made some new friends and ended up on a property and got myself a nice 100kg Boar. Was over the moon when we finally caught up with him. Also got another couple younger ones off one of my properties we have been visiting for a while now. Was stoked.
Then Friday night went out again and got 4 foxes. 1 we couldnt find but he went down hard. Other 3 were younger pups maybe 2 or 3 months old.
Chaps,
I use my GU for hunting and I’m wanting to build a gun rack where the third row of seats are. I’ve removed my third row of seats and use the rear of the wagon for storage. I’m considering welding up a frame from 20mm SHS and using the bolt holes of the third row seats as mounts.
The rack would carry 4-5 guns horizontally “stacked” on top of each other vertically in a “wall” immediately behind the second row of seats. Does anyone have experience with doing so or any experience building a similar device?
It would look something like a cargo carrier but with no mesh.
Before you go expending time and money i would look carefully into the laws around the transport and storage of firearms in vehicles. Its not like the god 'ole USA where every second vehicle in the Walmart carpark has a gun in a rack in the rear window! ( I saw this in Redmond Oregon, which is a backwater town in the NW of the USA and it was startling - no security at all apart from a locked door - maybe.) If it was me, I would contact your firearms division, and go speak with a firearms officer, with a set of plans for review - it could save you the angst if you get pulled up or inspected en-route or even when camping - especially around the 'secure location' requirements.
Ben got his sight in with his new slingshot. This thing is a pisser, nearly took the ducks head off[emoji123]
