Thats the thing tho.... Ive know of plenty of mates that have the auto and not a thing wrong with them, i just got to isolate that one problem and fix the damn thing! Its worth the effort though an auto with the tb42 is amazing offroad...... A mate has an RB30 manual and i can idle past him on hills... Another mate has a TB42 manual and he has to use massive rpm and 36inch centipedes to slash his way up hills, my auto with 33" cooper stt's just lugs up em! Auto is great for offroad. even better for rock steps etc. You gotta get the feel for them though, it feels like your wheel spinning but its just the torque converter doing it thing.

Haha nice, I reckon mine started out just like that, Ti mags and those homo fibreglass flares. Don't think it had the plastic body kit though. And my grill is 'metallic charcoal' but close enough

Well its been a while so i thought id do a bit of an update. The GQ is running beautifully and i have been taking it out for day trips as often as i can:driving2:
I have recently purchased a second car as a daily driver so now i can drive the trol harder and also have a go at doing more mods myself without the need to get it all back together for the weekly grind to work:)
