A couple of bunnies caught by my Trail Cam. We saw some black rabbits nearer to town, about 22 odd years back. Over the years, we have seen black rabbits closer to our place. I have had trouble with the tops of our saplings being eaten, so I grabbed a cheap camera from Bunnings. In Central Vic, we used to catch the occasional coloured rabbit, especially around Maldon. They ranged from having a bluish tinge, to piebald, all the way to an orange tabby.
Nah! Its gotta be a deer, wallaby, roo or hare as the plants are a bit too tall for bunnies to get too. I happened to find a hare here many years ago, that was eating the seedling Manna gums we planted.
A friend of ours, just a few ks from our place, gassed a rabbit warren but he found a dead quoll at the entrance. He stopped using the gas after that. I am also hoping to film a quoll or bandicoot one on our place.
The camera, 32GB SD card and batteries only cost about $175.
So the wife and I drove down to near Winnap in the Patrol, camped for a night, and then did an overnight canoe trip with www.canoehire.com.au. It was pretty cool and we got to get up close with a stack of birds and wildlife....

Exactly Plasnart, the right bird in the right tree.
Looks like you've got some good photography skills too mate. Keep your eye on the monthly photo comp thread on this forum and join in. I've been playing for years but haven't won one yet haha! Point and click is as technical as I get :)
Oops quoted wrong post!
@Ghosts
Looks like you had one of my moments. My excuse for one of those is, I`m practicing when I get old. I`m a little bit like you, I point and shoot and always try to get the best out of an ordinary subject. I recently bought a 70 - 300 mm lens and the photos seem to be a lot better. I`ll keep my eye out for the monthly comp too. @Plasnart
Met this beautiful big fellow at Lake Elingamite today. Biggest copperhead I've ever seen and wasn't at all fazed by me, not worried when I got out of the car to get a closer look. Just chilling and sunning itself then only moved on after I started to drive around it, but only a metre or so off the track.

A pair of these cheeky sods have reigned supreme in our back yard. We have seen them take lizards, frogs and worms out of our lawn, over the last month or so.
