Cheers mate, the weekend work occasionally I dont mind, but 16.5 hr days and then working night through the week and 100+ hrs on salary (based on a 37.5 hr week) then getting told the jobs falling behind (actually a week ahead) wears very thin after about a day hahahahhahahahahhahahhaa AH big whinge i kinow
Giving the salt mines the flick big fella, Nice move mate, better for the health too.
Right down your alley mate, All the best with the upcoming interviews buddy, a man needs some sanity in his life and those hours should rectify that.
Again hope all goes well, so we dont have to listen to you bitch from the salt mine.....lol Nah seriously Good luck with it mate
morning all
Howdy fellas warm n overcast over this way
hot and sunny here with too much NE bree2e to chase spanish macs off Mooloolaba - I suppose that bree2e is good news as I am not out there fishin' :-)
Back from my adventure to Western Qld. Scenery spectacular and some different country West of Thargomindah.
Sadly the pigs were too good for me, very flighty and nocturnal only. A mate did pull off humane one shotters with his .458 on of all things, a hare, a feral cat, and the only pig for the trip - a young boar just over a meter long but barely visible tusks. He said he had the .458 loaded with his varmint loads, 350gr round soft points. Pulled off a head shot on the hare, so he must have his eye in.
Had the opportunity to fire the .458 and the other mate's .470 Nitro double. The .458 obviously had a lot more mu22le flip and a bit more recoil than my little 6.5., but I avoided a 'weatherby eyebrow'.
The .470 was a different experience - noticeably more recoil. And due to not paying attention to instructions, got a little nick on my finger from the front trigger when firing the second barrel. I think I may have said a rude word! :-) you can keep the 600 NE nowoolies :-)
Sounds like a ripper trip Silver any pics??????
yes, haven't been through them yet, nor those taken by fellow travellers. May have a bit of a review and edit mine tonight. Scenery only, noting this is the Patrol forum and not a shooting forum :-)
evening all
will have to wait for the mates to send them up, as they are on their cameras - scenery only on mine.
And I don't know about putting them on here anyway - people have strong feelings both ways on the issue.
Evening.........
evening all hows things.....
evening Paul and Tim
It is indeed a loverly evening patch and timbo.
nowoolies, I checked my scenery shots, yawn! I know one of the others has a nice one of Silver splashing through a red mud puddle. They are still on their way back home however.
here's one from a trip in June - a mate 'touched up' the pig shot.
