Once again I am not a knife person, but these fine specimen the neighbour gave me today look quiet cool. Blade is darmascus something, and the handles are bone something lol. He did tell me a technical name of whatever they're built from but he lost me quickly. One of his mates makes them.
The silver knife all the way on the left is a cheapo but super sharp. The other too are apparently very high end... So he says.

very nice the yellow one is bone stained yellow with brass spacers
the other looks like buffalo horn and burr walnut with file work on the spine.
Dont think the small one is Seki city or San Mai damascus,
Did he mention how many layers as you can see the larger knife has less layers
Another mini medieval helmet arrived called a pigface very pointed. Ill get a pic of all together
tomorrow. Still need to buy 3 more to complete the set
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mini-Helm...item1c3632efda
Heres the helmets, I like them and thats all that matters eh
Looking at your knives again Eric I think that small one may be Seki City steel[damascus]
Anyone got any new goodies lately?
Never underestimate the power of the tap, let it flow through you.
nah sadly no. but if you can find a Colt Alamo bowie with the
stag handle and star in the pommel Id be interested about 20" AO
Playing with them as you do I reckon the best is the Gil Hibben toothpick
Hands down

Very nice OD here has a heap of survival style knives,

I could be wrong but I don't recall an AK47 bayonet being basically the same size as the .303 short sword bayonet?
Still waiting on my new Buck to arrive, need to dig out my Winchester Bowie to knock up that sheath for you

Thats just a copy or mock up as it comes in 3 different blade lengths
this being the longest. I have the shortest about a 150mm blade
middle one in the pic
This thing Im going through with the ACCS looks promising,
Ill email shortly
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151657406...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Heres the one in the middle, still a good size for a sticking knife
Seller has some pretty good prices on the gear he sells

I have a very nice Seki city drop point skinner Ill think Ill finish.
Pic is of the same knife but with ram horn scales. Thinking this
time I'll use some streaky Buffalo horn with a polished brass highlight
dividing the scales [handle].
This blank differs ever so slightly as it looks like its been surface ground
still a stunning blank.
Will require a sheath is good time as well similar to the Buck one pictured.
I have so many knives I need to finish, slacker eh lol
Ended up buying more ram horn scales, after they
arrive Ill line up what Ive got and get some opinions.
So many un finished knives
Sweet, Dean has just started stocking knife making supplies now as well. He's got some nice gear to use

Streaky buff , camel bone and ram horn would be my favourite scales.
especially the camel bone as you can scrimshaw it to personalize a knife.
I have a few un-finished with Burr walnut as well, its a bit big in the hand
need a sheath for that one too, lol
Note; need to round off the buff on this knife
Send them over when you've finished them and will do the sheathes

Scored another Seki City San Mai drop point skinner.
Thats 3 now so I can do each one seperate, Ill be selling these
unless my sons snaffle them, same as previous pic

Just put a video on that the munckin might find interesting.
Yeah a big fan of these San Mai seki city blades good to go
as soon as the scales are on,
Plenty of Cops around due to the Cup [Melb]my son saw a 18yr old hide something in the bushes.
He did a U turn and found this, WTF.
whats an 18 yr old doing with a bloody knife needs a good kick in the RRRS if you ask me.
Too much of it going on.
Tanto neck/boot knife throwing knife
there is no reason whats so ever to carry a knife walking around the suburbs
regardless of age.

Yo OD thought you might find these handy.
They're great gloves, I've got a set of tan munchkin has the OD set.
Nice score on the boot / neck knife, you know where to send it if you don't want it lololol.
Yup there's tons out there that shouldn't have access to them, I was 7 when I got my 1st knife which I still have that was my Pop's, then Dad's, then mine and will go to munchkin.
Unless I got the airport, I always have my Excalibur stockman and Leatherman OHT in my belt, they're always being used (legally that is) by everyone lol
I haven't had a chance to view or show munchkin the vid yet, will try have a gander shortly. Damn hot water system just went kablooey argh!!

Still sitting in the box un wrapped, was talking to the guy up the road about it,
But its no substitute for HID spotties.
They are only good IMO for night 4x4ing,
Could put it on the back of the roof rack for a reverse light.lol
but as Hodge will testify my reverse lights are bright enough
My Tops knife starting on a bow drill. The bow drill was successful in making fire, but no photos of the bow drill set

Nice Im sure a few would love to see the Bow drill, I know I would
Nice knife, Tops make some good pieces. Interested in seeing the bow drill as well, what did you use?
Never underestimate the power of the tap, let it flow through you.
No shortage of silver Birch over in the UK by the look of things lol
Here is a photo of the bow drill set. the drill, bored and pivot block are made from the above piece of downy Birch (very smiler to silver but darker and furry on the underside of leaves)
i used paracord on the bow:( but i am making some stinging natal cord to use instead which would mean i can make fire with just a knife, i used ear wax on the pivot of the pivot block and i used a fungi as tinder which when lit with a tiny ember terns into a hot col.
Yes Tops knives are great for hard use.
