washing machine, old one shit itself on Sunday.
Know how you feel. I had to buy a new vacuum on Friday
Wasted bloody humor. ...
I got talked into a 600 dollar cordless thing. Was on sale from 800, it is awesome though for cleaning the whole house then taking it outside to clean the cars. Easy as to grab out and do a quick scoot over the floor so the house will be cleaner most of the time...
one of these http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/fisher...asher-wh8560p2 - was this missus choice
I've been researching them for a while now hahahahahahaha
We've got a Dyson DC14 upright jobbie, which has been very good, specially with 2 dogs that molt something chronic, last year the motor died and the missus was getting all excited coz she wanted one of those Dysons stick thingies............ she wasn't happy when the new motor arrived from the UK for me to fix it hahahahahahahaha
Haha you're a prick. Yeah the new vac seems great so far. We have a Labrador, a Jack Russell and a long haired cat (the worst hair shedder of the 3) and it works really good.
We got the motorhead. It's great for doing quick clean ups too.
We had 12 year old Wertheim bag vacuum cleaner. This thing would pull jesus from his cross it was that powerful. It cost us $1200 12 years ago to buy. The powerhead on it had its own motor. Bloody thing was awesome.
Then the missus won a new Bosch bagless vac, pet vac or something it was called. Retailed for about 7hunge... She wanted the new vac, so we sold the Wertheim on eBay and it was the biggest mistake ever. Wouldn't even pull the skin of a rice pudding, the power head relies on suction from the vac to work, stupid idea, and being bagless, the filter gets clogged everytime you use it and it loses suction very quickly.
The powerhead, or the powerless head i call it, broke not long ago and we had to stuff around to get a new head for it.
Should never have sold the Wertheim.

Fingers crossed the fridge is still good after 15 years.
All this was second half of the year...thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Geeze. I'd hate to see your water and power bills@!
Yea tell me about it. Sound like it was really the year..
Ours was TV, then dishwasher, then fridge, then the washer..
But we've had at least 10 years out of each item so imo a good innings form each appliance..
8.5kg is not big mate. Pretty average now. I'm sure ours is 8.5 too and with the two of us we only do 2 loads a week. Power bill is under 200 a quarter and water usage is under 50 bucks.
Some Roofy tickets.....
Yes mate, our old one was a 7.5kg, missus pretty much had a load on every day, what with the 2 girls school uniforms, normal clothes, mine and my missus work clothes and the 3 year old boy. 8.5kg isnt much of a jump up in size but I would hope that the am I of loads should decrease a little. Plus the machine should be a bit more efficient with power and water use.
Wanted to get a 10kg jobbie but time was of the essence (lots of washing building up) and basically got what we could afford, what space we had available and what they had in stock. It arrived today and have just installed it and pretty impressed with how quiet it is.
The dishwasher has packed in now, so am on the hunt for a heater element for it.
Tumble dryer is on the way out too :(
Yea fair enough ey.. your right too.. 7kg to 8.5 ain't really that much difference..
I've just looked at ours and I bit my tounge.. the wife bought an 8.5kg too....
It looks near on the same size as the old 7..
And yea the cloth pike never gets any smaller as the kids get older ey..
Oh my God.... Are we, are we really talking about washing machines and vacuum cleaners?
