No I had this whole thing reformatted so nothing at all..
So at the moment I only have standard Windows Firewall on.

Sounds more like your printer goes to sleep due to lack of traffic. Most of those on computer dont "ping" the printer to keep it awake.Quote:

What O/s are you using and what brand and model printer is it? I'm guessing your printer, it has a dynamic IP address which takes it offline when it cycles through its IP addresses, and is not being seen by the network. You will need to get into the settings of the printer and manually set the IP address of the printer. How? depending on the printer but usually there will be a settings tab and find an option that may say sometihng like "choose or setup up network". It will be in there somewhere.Quote:

I think my laptop needs a new battery. In a search ive come up with 6 cell and 12 cell. Which is better? Theres a fair bit of difference in price for pretty much the same thing. Is there any brand thats better or is it basically you get what you pay for??
