Those bloody light's at the top of the forum... :210:
Had one of the PA speaker's hooked onto my PC for a bit of extra punchy music. Music stopped, but I forgot it was still turned up. Loaded up the forum page and accidentally moused over a few of the lights up top ...
Scared the freakin' breakfast out of me. The cat jumped up 6 foot in the air, and I still don't know where she high-tailed to. Dogs within the surrounding suburbs are still barking. Out little boy is still hysterical, the missus is threatening me with all sorts of things as we're still trying to calm him down. I can't hear half the s*** she's saying as my ears are still ringing to the highest pitch imaginable.
Fun and games!
^^^ I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that... lol!
Oh and what makes me angry? Shopping centres today grrrrrr
My daughter in law just had her wallet stolen while taking her kids through the nocturnal section of the Adelaide Zoo.
What kind of low life a$$hole steels the wallet a young mum with two toddlers.
Love to catch the bastard and throw him/her into the lion enclosure.
Just watching the news and some nobba crashed into a car because he drove around a round-about THE WRONG WAY! FFS! They all go the same way!
And the worst of it was when they interviewed a police officer who told us to:
Drive to the conditions.
Keep within the speed limits.
Don't drink or drug drive.
Slow down and not be in a hurry.
Da fark does any of those have to do with DRIVING THE WRONG WAY AROUND THE ROUND-ABOUT!!!!!??
When I lived in Cairns saw plenty of tourists tackle roundabouts the wrong way
I hope this makes sense, the black line is how your meant to go around the roundabout coming of a a train track over-bridge to access the street that runs parallel with the track, the red line is how people try and access the the street, and I have not yet seen a person make it in one go :) There is a sign before you enter the roundabout explaining this but obviously no one can read, I travel past that round about daily and amazed at how many times I see it happening.

Think all that builds roads in general needs a bullet, but yes this is really stupid, the amount of times I have come over the track entered the roundabout with my indicator on, gotten around only 2 have 2 slam on my brakes when another car has come over the track and doesn't give way to me trying to exit into that side street!
Speaking of roundabouts. Here in Thomastown, we have probably the worst round-about I've ever come across. Dalton Rd/Settlement Rd intersection. 3 Lanes each way. At peak-hour it is an absolute clusterf**k. Absolute pita to get across at the best of times, and then throw in the mix of stupidity and carelessness of some drivers and it's enough to drive you mental. I hate it so much that I do't mind driving an extra distance just to by-pass it and most times I've home quicker.
For a REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLL bad roundabout google dequetiville tce now this is a doozy
Ok ok, you guys have big effed up round abouts. This is Tassie, it was a single lane round about and the driver wasn't a tourist. I just didnt like how the cop blamed speeding, drink driving and not driving to the conditions.
I have a house full of guests and our stove let the magic smoke out accompanied by a 'PHZZZT' sound this morning. On top of that I found the front drivers side tyre on Mrs mudsane's van has chewed out, and the first layers of belt are showing. I had the steering repaired and aligned only a month ago!! Welcome to the pot hole state!!
I'm sure our shire engineers the roads with potholes in to start with....like in the plans.
Some local piece of s*** still setting of fireworks and crackers even at 5am. Started at 10 and didn't stop ... Must have consumed a whole container load. Even the next door neighbor cracked the s**** at about 3am jumped in the car and drove around looking for the f***wit.
Like seriously it's NYE and all, celebrate it but, have some decency to know when to call it quits.
Ok, major rant coming....
A few days ago, some friends and I were fishing on a beach north of Perth, here in WA. As we were setting up our spot, one of my friends heard/saw vehicles coming out of the dunes, doing donuts and generally just going nuts. My friends comment was " look at these clowns. How soon before one of them puts it on there roof?"
Not 5 minutes later, one of them was on its roof.
Thankfully, no one was injured but the comment from the driver "I wasn't doing anything stupid." Was so typical... And of course his vehicle only flipped itself onto its roof because it wanted an all over tan....
Another common comment was "you did dumb stuff when you were young!".... And of course the answer is yes, I did. What then is the difference? I have been in 4WD clubs since I got my license at 15. Since then I have been on numerous driving courses, including advanced and instructor courses. I was taught to push the absolute limits of my vehicle... The difference was it was done in a such a manner that, if it went wrong, everyone was safe. Damage was an acknowledged and accepted risk if it were to occur.
Why then the rant? As we drove into this beech, there we witnessed people driving in excess of 60+ Kms down the beach! with passengers either seated in the tray of a ute or standing on the back or sides of vehicles. I saw one vehicle with very young children standing on the running board of a 4wd, thankfully driving slowly.... But why does this pi$$ me off? Because I have seen a kid doing this fall off, having had hid vehicle hit a bump. He was then run over by one of the family travelling just behind. All had been drinking...
Why is it this behaviour is fine when drinking and on holiday at the beach, irrespective of who else may happen to be there?
Add to that, the news of a death at the same beach over night from a brawl... Happy new year for some.
