If some of you are heading up on Thursday I might meet you up there on the Thursday evening with a trailer of wood before the Friday.
That's one thing we don't want to run out of and thats wood for a toasty fire...lol
Gonna be muddy and freezing. Wooo.
Not fair, can't come, mum wont let me!!
You bringing ya 4 hour tent Fletch!?
Can't wait to watch you (with a can in my hand) put up that beast in the freezing cold.. mud, pi$$in rain, snowing, night time.. under headlights.
Ahhh gonna be good lol.
Hang on a sec....Just about the entire forum members who turned up to that event helped Fletch out to put this tent up and it still took us an hour of scratching our heads...lol
so mate did you take it back? and was a good w/end as well
Does anyone take a generator ? I'll chuck one in to run the electric blankey..

SWEEEETTTT :)
Cant wait Guys!!!
Now we just need to get Paul to drive across........Or is he already???
Ok, I went out to Toolangi this afternoon to check out the best camping spots at the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve.
The best camp spot I found for us is called the Water Guage Camping Ground. This is located 3km down from the Suspension Bridge Camping Ground.
The Suspension Bridge camping ground is the first camping ground on the road. You cannot miss it. The photos below are the Suspension bridge. Don't forget to pay your camping fee. I think It's $5 per car.
This is very easy to find. Simply take the Murrindindi Road turn off from the main Melba Hwy.
Theres a huge green Vicroads sign saying "Murrindindi -->"....Can't miss it!
Then It's just straight the whole way for about 15km....Ends up being dirt road and shiploads of pot holes but It's an easy drive.....The road follows the powerlines....There may be a couple of small "t" intersections but just keep going straight and keep the following the "main" road.
There's orange signs directing you the whole way with each camping ground signed so It's very easy to find the camp spot...
Anyways, I had the road tyres on today and it was very slippery on some of the 4x4 tracks. The facilities here are pretty fancy for camping. After Black Saturday they rebuilt everything so even if there is rain we would be able to use a medium sized pergola with picnic tables, etc. Even the fire pits have rotating grills...lol
Nice recon work there AB, rotating grills on the fire pits... Fancy lol
Can't wait, I'm super excited about this meetup

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum but i'd like to attend. What time is everyone expected to be there?
Good to hear mate your more then welcome.
Some people are heading up Thursday night, myself and a few others will be there around lunchtime Friday, most will be there around 7pm Friday night and I think one or two on Satuday.
Hope to see you there mate!
Watch this thread in the next two weeks and we'll choose a UHF channel for communication too, just incase.
Once your on that road you cannot miss the Waterguage camp spot....Big orange sign and the camp spot is only 20m off the road.

I actually hope that someone with 35"s will try that as I just got hooked up on the diff with the big right hand drop...Nothing to do with the awesome power and strength of the GQ...LMAO...
