Mine goes up to 6k, like I said you weren't trying hard enough lol

Engine is here.... arrived at the workshop and Billy was the only one there to help the truckie to unload... I turned up just as they got it all off the truck.
Have not had a chance to look to far into it as I have a busy day with kids and stuff...
Just need to motor out for this young bloke as he is very keen.
nice work. hopefully she is in and running without issues in no time bud
Good news man, I bet the nerves are higher now

Yes and no... it is not a priority until the other engine is out and gone then we can worry about the td42.
Took some photos of the loom which is all of the engine bay plus the dash but is cut in a spot I am not sure of yet... I will figure all of that out soon.
Thanks to Sean the ride on mower went today and I have some more cash but that will go to en-sundries like filters and belts and injectors and all other bits I am missing?
I had a fuel sender but cut it to go in the aux tank and now I need another plus viscous fan and a few other things.
learning all the time and we were not learning something new then no point being around
Its all started...... scary.

George is looking a little "healthier" or do you guys just pack on a little for winter :p
All the more for Jonathan to cuddle. That's why he loves me so much.
Thats it!! Your car's getting pushed on the train tracks and i'm going to sell all the good bits!!! That would have to the worst pic of me i have ever seen, i would say that angle make me look like the bloke that ate me!!! Lol
I haven't stacked nothing on, i had to weigh myself after i seeing the pic and i still weigh in at 70kg's. Even tho i stopped smoking about 5 weeks ago and i've been eating twice as much ( and drinking lol ) i haven't put on any weight. Jonathan must have had his fat cam on or something the farken gaylord carnt!!
Hey Bloodyaussie, are you in Thomastown? I saw that you had your EFI engine located and that's where pickup was from.
I'm in Bundoora and I'm currently doing the exact same conversion, I'm a little in front of you at this stage but we may be able to help each other out.
I am so tired... the engine is gone and there is heaps to do but pressure is off for now.
Just need to do a compression test to see if what has been claimed is true.
I have a full wiring loom and need to start stripping out my engine bay and dash.
Thanks to one of my contacts I managed to get a set of clocks that suit my set up and are bloody hard to find, the bloke did not want to sell them but in the end agreed and I was so grateful.
George wanted to get the engine looked over properly today but ended up being a very busy day at the shop and it was more than enough to get most of the main stuff out.
Both Billy and George have been brilliant I cant thank them enough..
Tomorrow is a chill out day with no work being done and some orienteering with the family... should be fun.
Sitting here going through the list of seals and belts and hoses and so on.... it all adds up.
Not sure which vendor to use yet....
Has anyone had experience with Vic roads once changing an engine from petrol to diesel ?
Glad to see it's all happening mate. Looks like i won't be seeing the mighty Q run around here for a bit ...
This is getting exciting. Don't forget detailed photos of everything.
Is it done yet???????????????????????
Nice work Jono, sounds like you'll be in action in the not too distant future. No point stressing tho you may as well enjoy the whole process. GIDDY UP
Photos . . . . . . ?
Pulled my starter apart today as it was seized up...... errr no repairing this pucker.

I cant say it was from this engine as it was just cable tied to the pallet.
Will pick one up first thing in the morning as George will need it to do the compression test and would rather have it sitting there in case he gets a spare moment.
So I picked up the new starter today and got a quote for an alternator also if it turns out it is needed...
I also requested quotes for seals from a few vendors and the only one to not get back to me is Patrolapart..??
One vendor got back to me withing minutes with all the prices and if available.
Just been going through all the numbers and parts sourcing and an overwhelming feeling of stress and anxiety has come over me..... weird..?
Still waiting to see if I have done the right thing or have stuffed up in a big way.
Life could be so much simpler ....he he.. oh god....
That starters pretty bad!! Can you take it up with the supplier or was it just included as a freebie?
Also forgot to mention, make sure you label all the wiring to save a few headaches re wiring. I'm sure Georgies got it all sorted tho.
I have a complete loom now I got on the weekend so it is all plug and play.. I have a brand new starter paid for today and will save the old one as a missile of revenge.
I need the car home so I can get on with this conversion as having it at Georges shop makes it hard for me to get stuff done with my little boy with me most of the week...
It will work out Jono. When's the compression test getting done? This should hopefully be a confidence booster when it reveals good results.
Just got back from the workshop and everything is set up to go but we did not have enough battery juice to do the test..
George pulled the glow plugs out and thinks they are pretty much new and thinks the oil is also.
We cranked the engine over by hand to see that is does turn and all went well there.... how hard are diesels supposed to be to turn over by hand??
Sorry forgot to take pics while I was there.
Tomorrow morning we will run the compression test before I have to head to Toorak to do what little work I do these days.... dont know if I can stand another day without knowing...blah..
Thanks again to George for hanging around late doing this...
Are you sleeping?
Did you see my post earlier Bloodyaussie? I'm doing the exact same conversion. I'm just down in the road in Bundoora, we could probably help each other out if need be. I'm a little bit in front of you currently.
