Probably be Scott and his mates, he said it was so busy in Birdsville they had to wait a while to be able to take that photo LOL
The Amorok must be better than the Hilux, not a broken front strut between them!
How did "our" Nissans go?

The Meet Up in the Middle Crew
really starting to hate this thread now aarrgghhhhhhh
so jealeous great country up that way
Never go after the races like I did once most dunes on the inside track are clay topped.
all of them were wrecked from all the traffic the previous few weeks, Encountered no damage
but you could not hit any at speed. Why do you want to spend a weekend with 5000 drunks is beyond me.
We hired out the cabins at the back of the pub when we went , A great nights sleep

The Crew!
OK mods time to shut this thread down.
They reached their destination and we really don't need to keep on hearing about this, or seeing any more pictures, or suffering trip envy, or thinking if only, or.................
I am at the bakery now to smash a pie prior to heading for haddons cnr and Cameron's cnr!

Ok, so now we need all the goss. Anyone get bogged? What repairs were needed? Any dunes catch out more than one car? Was oncoming traffic much of an issue? Did the thunder boxes work? Was it cold at night? Who enjoyed the crunchy sand in their sangas? Everyone have sufficient fuel? What was fuel consumption like? Are Winnie & AB still talking to each other? And so on & so forth.
I wanna lodge a protest.
The destination (as I was reminded a couple of times) was Dalhousie so don't forget poor old ET made it there as well.
After much expense and heartache it sure was good to finally give them Dalhousie guppies a dose of fart bubbles from a true professional... Oh, and meeting everyone was even better
For those interested, I've managed to get my camperback from the Camper Doctors at Yulara after major surgery and am back on the road again.
Just arrived in tiboburra, heading for broken hill. Great to do haddons and Cameron's can't on the way! Shame about my new tyre:(

The awesome foursome at tiboburra :)
What an amazing trip folks, we have made history and covered some serious corrugations and landmarks!!!
We are now on the home stretch and looking forward to seeing the families!!
Damage report is all good for our convoy. I have a short in the tail lamps and me and Winnie had some unthreading of bolts on our aux tanks but that is minor compared to the roads and all 4 wheel airborne adventures we have driven on.
Stropp had a blow out too but all good
I also got to snatch out stropps gu that he was bogged in a puddle as you can see by winnes photo coming soon.
It's a GU thing =)
