Getting a bunch of stuff ordered in so in no rush as I get love...
Picked up a new client this week... Auto technica, before I even did a single job for them I got a silicon hose for $33 worth nearly $100 in the shops (the guy there looks after me).. nearly fell over when I saw the retail price!!! Madness.
George fitted a new product that he has help test to my car yesterday to filter out and break down all the crap in my cooling system...

Yeah I have thought about this heaps.. I needed the step as the car is bloody high and it would be to hard getting up the bloody thing.
I just cut the piece out and flipped it around and welded it back in.
Will weld in the mounting brackets this afternoon when I have finished work and start looking at the quarter chop which George will be welding up.
I am also collecting all the bits and bobs I need for the engine swap over.. going to fit a new water pump and new gaskets plus thinking engine mounts while its out and maybe a clutch?
Give me a yell mate when you do it. I'm keen to help out and learn about dong an engine swap.
I'm thinking of swapping mine at some point for a turbo'd donk.
Starting stripping down the new engine yesterday to get ready for the swap, a bit to do as I have decided to get Georges shop to fit both the engine and gearbox for a number of reasons.
It all happens next week and I have a bit to do before then as I have to remove 2 head gaskets and fit a new one plus have a good look at the cylinders for wear.
Going over everything so as to save me grief in the long run.. fitting new water pump rear main and may fit new clutch, at the very least new thrust bearing.
Have been taking pics and will post some up later.
I know I could have done this myself but having the wifes old car here and being flat out this time of year it would be to much to try and fit an engine plus keep up with my work load..
My back is also killing me and have been stuffing around with doctors as they dont seem to hear what I am saying to them so the last thing I need is to wrestle with engines and gearboxes.
Thanks mate for the positive feedback. .
Have to put this on hold while sorting the engine.

Mate, if it is a big problem, INSIST!! on a referral to a specialist, and insist on an MRI scan as it will show soft tissue damage or if you have a degenerative injury.

Glad i decided to change out the water pump.. never believe what you have been told and always look for yourself.
Having some doubts about the gearbox and not sure if I should fit it???
Going for a drive tomorrow so might clear my head and work out what I should do..
Just got hit with extra school fees today for erica and have to pay for Alexanders kinder for next year. .. it all comes at once!!
That's not good. Clean that rust asap and flush the system.
Bugga about the fees. It'll come good bud. Just keep the head down bum up and wheels turning..
Cheers Kallen... heading off soon for a drive with Kevin so a bit of time out should be good to sort through my brain..
Found this pic while sorting through stuff.. at Mt dissa just after the fires, funny !!!!

So here is an update....... my car has not gone in for an engine swap???
Reasons.... money mostly and just as well with me being so sick I never would have got the other engine ready as it did need some unplanned work.
Got school fees for both kids for next year and some unexpected bills and then to top it off our agent neglected to tell us our tenant was moving out this month so thats 2 mortgages we have to pay... yippee!!!!!
So at this rate I will be swapping the engine only and I will be doing it at home....
Watch this space!!!!
Shout out when you need a hand mate. Don't say ohhhhh I used to wish my time away and all the crap. I am good at passing tools
Started the quarter chop today after I got rained out again...
Look at all the crap that was in this panel....

Left a bit extra to play with....... got all the 2 inch steam pipe and inch and a half to do the rest of the bar work also!!
What happened did ysa slip and cut the zorst as well man? :)
What's that wire hanging out the bottom?
Thats my custom slash cut after the last big trip where I squashed it a bit and snapped the bracket.
Scored some 35's yesterday..... he he!!
Looking good mate. Those 1/4's were full mate.
The funny thing is last week I had the pressure washer jammed in there for ages trying to get all the clay/mud out... obviously I did not get it all!!!!!
When I was first coming up with ideas for the rear bar it was going to be more your Kaymar type bar so I got square stub axles but now as I am using 2 inch tube I need the round one so I can just hole saw into them and drop in the stub axle and weld it in place.. the place I got them from is down in the south east I can not be stuffed swapping them over, there is another mob in this area but not sure if they use the same set up??
I am enjoying doing this and wish I could spend more time on it!!!!
Just carefully cut a square with the 5".
Or if the tube is the same size but it I'm And put your lights between the bar and stub..
Looking good man. Will you end up with more clearance.

Going great there mate. My car is booked in next. I wanna do something similar for the centre step then run two tubes out either side and curve them around towards the rear wheel. Then fit some nice slim led brake lights and indicators in it. How much do you charge to do that BA? Hehe.
Answer your phone ya rude....
Love me new (2nd hand) 35's... I feel almost as manly as growler!!!!!
Got so much work on and other functions that I can't go and have a play... boo hoo.
Forgot to add pic.....

They look pretty sexy man, almost as sexy as mine looked.
When you did the 1/4 chop did you have to weld a plate in place? Or how did you seal it?
