Hopefully tomorrow. Btw Chris if you need any tips on removing seals or anything on your rig just let me know. I was surprised in that it's not actually that hard. The Bailey Chanel that the windows sit in literally just pull out and slide back in (with abit of lube).
Thanks a lot! Still got a weekend of sanding ahead of me haha spent all today sanding and repairing dents and smoothing the flares the prep work takes a long time! Did you just mask your back windows or did you take them out?
Took them out. I had new seals ready to go in, so killed 2 birds with one stone.

Lots of orange peel so lots of wet sanding. Have got a bit of over spray on the bonnet but hand polishing is easily removing this.

Quick attempt at removing orange peel.

Spent the day wet sanding and buffing the patrol. Not the most perfect buffing job but it has removed most of the sanding marks and the orange peel is nothing compared to before. Looking tons better. Will have to give the windows and grill a clean because they have over spray on them. But for now I think I've had enough and I'm happy with the look. :)

That looks awesome mate. Nice job
Looking sensational. Well done.
Hate you...........................
Put a limo tint all round and it'll look like a Mafia staff car lol
No, very nice, clean lines I love it
Thanks all. I plan on putting the lower door trim what ever the hell they're called things back on. Just need some uber strong double sided tape. Anyone recommend a good product? Will also be putting the roof rack on once i find some suitable rubber to use under all the mounting points so there's no metal contact.
I'd leave the plastic Off mate. Dont want it resembling a gu..
Very nice job mate looks awesome
Hnnnnnnnnngggg!!!
x 2. 3M double sided rubberised tape. You can get it on eBay as well.
Cheers guys. Went to autobarn yesterday to find the 3m stuff at $25 for 5m!! I had a heart attack. Never thought to look on eBay...
Got excited when I found this, but on closer inspection...

I just brought some 3M x 25mm double sided last week, great for sticking my mike bracket to the dash.
It is very strong if its the red stuff.
Do you really want to put them back on ,just seems it a place for crud to collect.
Patrol looks awesome as is
Black chrome wheel nuts ?????????

Is this the same stuff 3d?
Yeah same shop the lot, No sure if its pressure sensitive or not, have plenty of that from mates at Qmart.
I only got it as changing mike position from driver side to passenger side, to give c0-pilot some imput on trips
If you want to make sure its lined up pro pertly before you press tape up against panel then have rip it off. Instead leave the back film attached to tape then just lift a corner poke it out so you can grab it press panel in the pull the film out from behind it. haha hope that made some kind of sense. Haven't got thru my first cup of coffee e yet.
Thanks silent dreams. Made perfect sense. Great idea!
Leave em off. Much cleaner without them.
Try and find the 3m double sided tape that comes with a primer, that one is super strong. I used it on my brothers car to stick a fairing on and when we tried to tare it off the panel started to flex lol!! When I see my brother tomorrow I'll get the part number for it so you can look up. I'd use the tape on the top of those trims/fairings and urethane in the middle of the trim so it'll almost never come off again lol
Thanks alitis! Much appreciated. Westy, I'm in two minds at the moment, but the main reason to put them back on is to hide my dodginess. Was able to sand and buff the top halves, but I can't be bothered with the lower sections, so just easier to hide it.
Took it for a spin, I'm very impressed!
Light bar off

Nice, but still needs a good set of pencil beam HID's.... then you'd see what is between those reflectors down the road as well.
Agreed. There is always room for improvement!:)
Your Patrol looks very impressive, Parksy.
I will be removing my spot lights... my 2 light bars are plenty for what I need.
