Yeah well we got tonnes of it here and further north it looked like it was still going???
In total we got 3hours of pretty heavy rain here.

From experience every time i fix a cooling system like a radiator or welch plugs the seal on the water pump goes, i'm pretty sure its from the glycol in the coolant so i warn my customers every time coz unless its been on the car for less then 12months they will leak within 1 hr to a month. I've had them leak soon as the car has gotten to NOT on many occasions, but lucky for you that you picked up now and not after it drained the cooling system hey!!
