Monitor lizard hiding behind a tree at Cordalba NP / State Forest. Every time I moved around for a better shot, he`d move around to hide. You can see his head where a piece of bark stick out on the left side of the tree.

A rare & endangered Female River Crossing Checker (overankles todeepus). Not often seen in daylight & very rarely seen at night. This one seems unaware that it`s natural predator, the infamous Barrington Bandit (malcholmus nadenus) was reported lurking around the area at the time.
