A Diesel Patrol achieving 10l/100 k's would cost $12.50 assuming Diesel was $1.25 per Litre
A 4.5L Patrol achieving 20L/100K's would cost $11.80 assuming Gas was 59c per Litre
Not much difference. Havent done the exercise for Petrol but it would not compare with either Diesel or Gas.
Diesel would be the preference due to Power
Howdy - just finished the run to Sydney and back (and some surrounds), and pretty happy with the result ... essentially, since I've had Tank, I have replaced the air box, O2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, radiator, put in cold plugs, put in a colder thermostat, advanced the timing 4 degrees and had the valve clearances "set" a bit better for LPG ... that has seen me drop from around 22-23 litres per 100 on petrol, and 25 or thereabouts litres per 100 on LPG (both highway figures - not averages) to the following:
Petrol - 16.5l/100
LPG - 20.36l/100
Basically I have spent about $1400 to achieve (at petrol rates - lets say $1.35 per litre) a $8.77 per 100 running cost reduction ... means I'll see my return on investment around 16,000 klms from now *lmfao* ... but I am happy and that's all that counts .... apparently??
I have a turboed td42 running 13psi and yesterday I filled up. I drove 1863km on 202L that is 10.8L/100kms and compared to others on here its pretty effing good.
It is all highway driving (long trips couple of hundred km + nothing less). my ute isnt a daily drive coz I have a company car. The last tank of fuel took 4 months to run down.

Just filled her up today - got 585km on 68litres, so roughly 12L/100km.
Usually averaging highway 12-13L/100km, and local roads 15-16L/100Km.
And again, we're from UK too - so it's dirt cheap compared to the price of running my 1.4l petrol skoda :P

Did around 4000klms over chrissie , mostly highway. Low load weight, roof rack with tent & space case. Averaged 14.83 ltrs /100klms.
Pretty happy with that.

driving on a highway keeping up to 120-130 km/h – 13L/100
in city driving speeds up to 40-50 km/h – 15L/100
so when fuel prices in Bulgaria:
diesel - 1.27 euros per liter
petrol - 1.28 euros per liter
lpg - 0.61 euros per liter
