Getting close TPC, and yes Cuppa is 0n the wrong road
I cant imagine it would be Sandalwood and have worked at Borrika recently and cant picture it there so I will try Karoonda?
About time .
Its` in the Karoonda Pioneer park, I organized a tour of all the buildings in the park a short time ago for the club I`m involved in.
The tour lasted about 90 minutes and our guide Don Anderson gave us some great insight in to the past glory's of the many exhibits on display.
It`s a great place for kids to learn a little of the hardships our forefathers went through to open up this country we call home
Take it away TPC
What is the name of these falls?
Hopkins Falls
Use`d to go Ell fishing there many moons ago, catch the buggers by hand. They would be trying to swim up the falls so we would just wade out and catch them.
Might be awhile while I find a photo
Try this one
All I can think is Silverton.
But the building looks in so good nick?
P4trol
Keep heading north
Packsaddle /Milparinka ish way
Maybe even new buiding at Innaminka
Great looking building/homestead
TD your guessing but yes Milprinka
It is an original building and now houses the information center.Quite a few buildings are being re furbished and this was just one.
When we were there a few years ago there was free camping along side the pub and the folks in the info center were most helpful.
I went to Milparinka once, about 23 years ago. Our first experience of the outback. It was virtually a ghost town, certainly no info centre, about half a dozen residents, including the young lad who did his best to sell me a lizard, & the pub. That was about it. I thought the pub had closed down since. Sounds like it's a relative metropolis these days.
Left 'town' after a couple of sherbets in the pub. Driving our old HQ Premiere station Wagon (Nellie) 253, Trimatic auto & limited slip diff, & towing a trailer with our two trail bikes on it, headed for Tibooburra with intent to camp out in the Sturt Stoney desert. After driving for around 45 minutes we saw a 4wd coming toward us in the distance. He stopped some distance away from us & waved us down as we drew close, & asked where we were heading to. We told him, & he grinned, telling us we were on the wrong road, @ was at pains to tell us that had we not been lucky enough to come across him, we'd have kept driving until we ran out of fuel in the middle of the desert.
Cuppa

It just looks outback Sth Aust to me
