Thanks guys but there is just far too much to do... this time round I have made sure (George has made sure) that it is all done properly... all the little things that do make a difference.
This is costing me a bit more in time and money as we have not just got a motor and slapped it in, we have replaced seals and bearings and gaskets for both the engine and gearbox.
All fuel lines have been replaced and electrics, the electrics were not totally necessary but made the job a lot more factory.. just a slight variant from the serious 2 loom I had which turns out was from a Maverick which should make that sooking Irishman happy and the loom that came with the engine but George drove down to Geelong to visit Darren and eyeball his wiring.
Still a fair bit of sorting as far as electrics go if I want all the functions to fully work including fuel warning and oil pressure and some aircon stuff..
Tomorrow I will be checking out all the TD42's as you would be surprised how many differences there are in all the models to help work out some of the above issues.
I have one video only of when it first fired up but was rough and there was a small knock (which was my fault) but on the second run it purred...
Now I need to do a shopping list for tomorrow and go and get the meat to feed all you bone heads..... thanks again guys I know some of you have been really wishing me well.

That's awesome mate! Really good to hear. Any pictures or videos? It took me a bit of fiddling to sort out the thermostat and oil gauges, should be easier for you I'd imagine as you swapped looms.
I spent $15 at the car wash getting ready for the hoist so I should be there around 7 tonight.

Spoke to George this morning and he did a cold start first thing to see how it performed and it started straight away.... I cant wait to start putting it together.

Well its about f%&king..... I mean Yaaaaaaay!!!!! So glad to hear its up and running, thought I was going to have to hide your shottie there for a minute.
Hopefully, this will mean farewell to the sh!t run of luck you've had this year.
Good news, I've been saving up all my used vegetable oil for you to run your car on.
I think we need to have a special forum banner with four simple words on it:
"In George We Trust"
