I'm gonna try resurrecting this thread with an easy pic as its been a few days since anyone posted...hope nobody minds!
Good idea GB
Winnie you'll have to tell us where your house on the stump is.
GB, looks like the Murray, but not sure where.
Cuppa
Yep tis the Murray alright...famous spot...need the very place for full points though :) should be pretty easy once you've got the town in the distance, but can drop a clue if needed...
I'd need a clue, but leave it for a bit. I'm sure there's others who know the Murray a lot better than I do.
Looks like the Echuca warves in the background
Yep Echuca wharves in the background it is. Bonus point for naming the "beach" I'm parked on?
Christies Beach? and if I'm right I don't have a pic to post up unfortunately so open to anyone to post one up.
Actually it's Moama Beach, Christies beach is further away.
And Winnie where is that pic you posted?
Yep you got it.
Here we go
Actually a very nice area.
Beaconfield mine
I still wanna know where Winnie's tiny house was, or we'll get it again some time in the future & still be just as stumped (pun intended).
Cuppa
It's at the end of Nine Mile Rd which comes out on the Woods Point - Warburton Rd. Known as "the dollhouse" and "the local garage"
Wife & I must have been amongst the few Australians who missed all the coverage. We spent some time in remote jungle parts of Vanuatu whilst it was all happening. Flew back into Oz & had an overnighter in Melbourne before returning home. Sitting in a cafe having brekky in the morning I was reading a newspaper in which there was something about some disaster that had occurred. The article clearly made assumptions about what was common knowledge. I asked someone where Beaconsfield was & they looked at me strangely & asked if I had been on another planet. Comparing our surroundings then to what they had been like a few days previously it did feel like we had indeed been on another planet!
Cuppa
@ Cuppa was the same with me after working out in the Simmo for 6 months straight, got back to Alice
only to find out John Lennon had been murdered 4 mths earlier, We used to stop trucks and Buses [Greyhound]
