Front Tvan hatch. Didn’t secure it properly & it flicked up & smashed at 80kph. Have to replace entire hatch as one of the moulded hinge joints is damaged. Bugger!

2010 model. Our first outing with it a few days ago, just 20 kms from home to aquaint ourselves with it. Beats the rooftop tent hands down! Found setting up the tent to be quick & easy. Getting the awning right took a bit of practice first time around. Was impressed by the amount of space inside the tent. Inner spring mattress was pretty comfy. Sat watching the pelicans swimming by MrsTea commented “ I think I could do this long term”. Just as well, ‘cos that’s the plan. ET’s right, we (I) are not the first to fail to secure the front hatch properly. Because it’s hinged at the back such forgetfulness inevitably ends in tears.Quote:
