top looking van nice design and layout but i dont think it will make gunshot creek behind the patrol next year,,,,,, welll maybe with a bit of speed and mumbo LOL

Hi all
Im looking at getting a nissan navara d22 2002-2006 model, however i see the ground clearance on these is not so good.
I just need some help as i want to get some good mud tyres or A/Ts on it, i am wondering that these would slightly increase the ground clearance to the diff? what tyres size / rim size / brand etc combination would give me the best ground clearance to diff.
Also ill need a body lift kit but im not sure how high to go maybe 3-4 inches would that be good? the higher the better is it i guess?

yes bigger tires will give more clearance, larger rims will give a little more clearance also as the tires don’t bag out as much. a body lift won’t give you any more clearance but may allow you to fit larger tires. you would benefit more from a suspension lift to get more clearance over a body lift.
but legally you can only go a 2"body and a 2" suspension lift
ah ok i didnt know there were different lift kits haha could you please explain how the body lift kits work then, and by the sounds of it ill have to get both body and suspension lift beacause i need the bigger tyres, any idea how much this would cost roughly for each kit and labour?
Body lift lifts the body off the chassis go a 2" should cost about $200 and do it your self if you have a jack and socket set takes about an hour lift kit (spring&shocks) can range from $500 onwards all depends how high what quality etc
also what would you reccomend as a tyre and rim size? i dont like big rims as they damage too easily but all i want is max diff clearance, less rim and more tyre and the fatter the tyres the better.
So legally in aus were only allowed 2 inch lift? why do they sell 3 inch kits?

im sure with slicks and a decent launch it would go into the 10's
