Looks like it was a busy day out there Gaddy, great stuff mate!
@ Gaddy do you call that red one a Goat fish/red mullet and tastes the same as Crayfish???
TD it's what we call a pig fish absolutely the best eating , when filleted and skinned you can almost see through it , only ever get them every now and then , and never more than 1 or 2 , the one above that is a rosey job fish also great eating ,possibly even better than the pearlies
Steve
Great thanks our goatfish/redmullet have two yellow feelers on chin, best eating ever but dont seem to bo able to catch a big pile of them.
I used to get them diving over sandy section with a rocky ledge near by. Tight lines buddy
Just back from a Fishing Trip on the Murray and besides catching Carp and a Small Murray Cod I was amazed
when I caught a small Rainbow Trout
Did not take a Photo and BTW it was a Brown Trout.
It is the first time in my life that I have caught a Trout in the Murray but someone I was talking to over the
Weekend said that it was not unheard of.
I was not Drunk I can assure you and I have caught lots of Trout over my life and know one when I see one.
