If you're referring to the leak, no not sorted. Just keeping an eye out on it and topping up if necessary. But otherwise going good.

So I've noticed a few little extra electrical things creeping up of late and at Cape jaffa mudnut pulls out the gauges and alternator is only producing 12.8v max..
So I pulled it of this arvo and no wonder why lol

So the brushes are also nearly finished so I'll replace them and the bearings while it's apart.
Looks like I'm up for a vacuum seal again. Only did it 12 months ago.
Is there actually an alternator under all that crap, Kallen? Just be extra careful with the winding conductors as they really don't like being flexed.
I slipped the seals out of the new bearings, washed the grease out and packed them 2/3 full with innox mx8 high temp, high pressure, water resistant grease. Don't over fill them as the grease expands when hot and forces its way out.
Some types are made to be replaced. I seem to remember some others are made so you buy the Regulator complete with new brushes. One one occasion as a desperate measure I held the springs back, cut the copper pig tails and resoldered the new ones on, but that was a different type, (a couple of decades ago).

Have a look after you have taken the unit off, you might see a way of getting to where the pigtails are soldered.
Everything is soldered on to the board and board soldered to the coils. I can't remove board.
But I can replace the contacts. Just un soldered one and there a straight 8x5..
Any idea where I'd buy then from?
Contacts or carbon brushes? An auto elec, may have them. Maybe an auto shop. The downloaded manuals have an alternator overhaul section.
