I have a few impact drills and nothing stood a chance against the Radius arm bolts. Air gun undone them in second.
PLus I always wanted a compressor for odds and ends. Gave the garage and the Patrol a great dust blowout.

glad I found this out now, however I have 240v 800nm torque gun, so reckon it will be up to the task! Saves stuffing around with the wrong tool to begin with - thanks
The airgun definitely undone the bolts on the axle end. 4 all up. 24mm sockets.
The nut at the back however, I still had to do some odd body manouvres and angles to get it undone.
Simply cannot get the gun or a spanner in there.
I cracked them using a 1/2" ratched with a deep 24mm socket and a hydraulic jack extension handle for leverage.
I don't know what the access to this nut is like on the GQ.

... had to do the same as that ^^^^ on mine.
A shallow socket is too short, any extension is too long... and... as per the old story... a deep socket and 3/4 drive is juuuuuust right
Thanks guys for the heads up. I am yet to start planning this as waiting for the draglink to arrive, then doing draglink, tierod and spacers at the same time. 2 bathroom reno's just about done, new floors go down over the next 3 days and then its patrol time!!
Well not today technically but over the past couple of weeks... cross country Intercooler kit and a UFI 18g turbo have just turned up...
Now for the installation mission (and the bigger mission of finding the time)
Bought a gold spiral wheel and it arrived today.
Just trying to work out the settings and took some silt samples from the side of a dirt road culvert and found my first piece of gold...YAY!!!
Time to head up to the high country and have some fun!
Bought my first fishing rods in 30 years.
Time to find some water and myself.
