yep no idea,thought it was a bit hard but didn't want to cry about it.thers a million places like that here.Tried googling springs in Grampians and swamps all I camre up with is Meringa springs but no sign of a sign

Wikipedia, which can't be wrong, says the snow river travels 352km from source to mouth. Are you able to give a more exact location?
I myself have only seen it not far from the start, near charlotte's pass (at the base of Kosciousco). It looks a lot different!
