Gave the underbody a squirt with fish oil. Smells lovely now. Also rubbed the battery tray back and sprayed some rust converter.i was expecting holes, but it isn't that bad.

Towed a 7 x 5 trailer around the bush & cut 9 loads of firewood. Thought some of the slopes might've bit slippery in places (clay) but the new tyres took it in their stride. Pulling away on a steep hill with a full load of firewood in tow is a pleasure with the Patrol, it makes such easy work of it.

Spent two and a half hours cleaning the 4day old mud just from under the wheel arches, I gave up 3/4 done and sent it go the Indian car wash place to do the rest.
@ Mego one day I'll give mine a birthday and get full detail inside and out.
Safari snorkel and my arb compressor arrived so, spent an hour drawing up a plan how and where I'll install it and how to route cables etc... Will be interesting! Right next to the dual battery tray it goes, on the firewall side.
Gave mine a 20 min hosing down after a weekend in High Country mud :)
Changed my rear diff oil and now the vibration has gone..
Gotta love the slate mine!
Found a wicked track I hadn't driven before on Three Chain Tk about a km from the Running Creek campground.
Seriously steep and ledgy going up, steep, lumpy and slippery (back overtaking the front style) coming down the other side.
Tip tip tip......tap tap tap....
Replaced right side headlight globe
Yeah slate is great for your tyres too!!!
Three chain track used to join up with Tobacco flat until the track was bulldozed so you couldn't get through. We went the whole way on our trail bikes and no wonder, I have never seen a steep and rutted hill like this before.
I'm going out that way in two weeks for a "boys weekend".
Ordered a snorkel for Nev the mighty "U"
Installed keyless entry/alarm and had to fit up a drivers door actuator.
not much today but changed over the head unit yesterday to a 2 din jobby and had to "basterdise" an SD card to get mapping to work from another GPS unit I had after I lost the original mapping SD. Numerous times head was banged against table and one's wife decided to laugh her ar$e off at one's self banging said head....grrrrr
At leat mapping works
A good wife will do that.
Pulled the engine and box out and cleaned everything ready for the swap. then down comes the rain....

@ Mudski was going to get a satin finish stainless snorkel , but cant justify the expence. Would look awesome against my colour.
Anyway today I brought some upholstery dye in a spray can and sprayed the centre console lid, colour is like a green/grey slate
so darker than OE, Looks good as its a contrast to the light grey. Now for ash tray lid ETC, ETC LOL
I'll put a pic up tomorrow.
@ Florix it only rained once today lol
Tried to call VKS 737 on my HF Codan NGT AR radio, but the ionosphere didn't want to work in my favour tonight.
Too many fishermen wanted to talk at the same time. lol.

Swapped my ARB bullbar over for an ARB winch bar.
Didn't fit initially and I still have one bolt not lining up properly.
Wouldn't have been able to do it single handed without Irish's engine crane delivered to my door by BloodyAussie. Great stuff. Thanks guys!
