what do you think of the Tanto stone washed number ?
I reckon it would be a great boot knife, sturdy and has a good weight to it. Like most knives now, the sheath spoils it.
awesome ,awesome ,awesome, Shaun sand blasted it on the spot for me for $10.
he can even blast plastic parts with the correct medium,
Cant wait to try this baby out, already sprayed it with oil. happy as .
@ F4x4 my 16" turbo gold pan arrived this morning, might have to combine the two very soon.
I have a keg cut in half might get a fire going in that then season the disc/frypan as best I can,
best part is it looks like a bought one lol.
can see 1/2 doz eggs and some strips of bacon sizzling away on this, HHMMmmmmmmmm bacon lol

Just finished off a new axehead sheath. Was getting ticked off with my vanguard sheath so changed direction.
Suits the Tactical brand and Fiskars X7 axes.
Very nice X7 cover, Do you remember the saw /knife combo sheath a while back?
I'm thinking along those lines for my small axe and maybe the stone washed Tanto.
Yup, the tactical axe in the photo has the saw in the handle, $60 at Anaconda
Too late for me now as I've had the X7 for a while, did want the Gerber with the saw
but never mind.
the combo I'm thinking of was e tee handled saw and a Buck 110 all in one
I do have an axe / knife combo in sheath here, basically axe slides in sideways with the knife sheath over top, to big a sheath to carry on a belt though

something to do with an old file
My bonecutter is made from an old nicholson file
I have a very old file from around the late 1700 ,early 1800s it is stamped warranted steel, meaning it was forged [poured].
still in brand new condition, thinking it would make a very brittle knife , awesome but brittle
yeah might just do that, but will use another file I have here .
those axe head covers look awesome, well done
Cheers TD.
Just been asked to make a holster for a S&W .460 revolver with 8 3/4" barrel for a guy in NZ and also a rifle scabbard for a 44mag lever action for a local as well.
Both of those are going to be testing the skills especially the revolver as I will have to work by eye of images from the net.
The rifle is being bought up to me so I can scale the scabbard for a snug fit.
And so it begins,,,,,,lol you wont be able to scratch soon.
If any one is seeing this do some research on the symbols etc
make for interesting reading. The symbol is a Camel.
The toothpick must arrive this week, cant wait.
thought I'd buy an Old Timer after seeing one in the flesh,
first impressions are very nice knife, good edge, awesome sheath
must be the colour. yeah very happy
and that triple ACU waist pouch arrived as well
Heres a drop point Stone washed Tanto from the same mob

@ OD I'll post that item over later this week for you to, just been slack thats all
as for making a knife from a file thats a hell of a lot of grinding,
might be able to cut an edge using a thin cut off wheel
Cheers TD.
Just had the indoor / outdoor banner delivered.
Working on an X7 sheath for Clunk, trying something a bit different with this 1.
Looks good OD, hanging for the Toothpick to arrive now.
The old Timer didnt take much to get the edge nice and sharp.
I think I prefer it over my Buck 119brs fixed blade,
If you do another X7 with a "W" on it let me know
@ OD do you do a 2 thread lock stitch by hand??
Found a nice pieced of tanned leather I was going to use to re cover a 1910 chair I have,
but might try and make a knife pouch not 100% sure yet
Cheers Growler, got some shirts, car door magnets and new business cards including magnet cards coming as well.
Wifey is going to wear her shirt at work on free dress day, management will love that...not...lolol.
Once I sort myself out a bit more, will be getting AB to set up a vendors thread for us here.
Can do up an X7 sheath once I finish Clunk's if you want?
All my stitching is done by hand, type of stitching will depend on item and it's level of use. That will determine whether I use a locking saddle stitch, rolling stitch etc.
The magnum rifle scabbard I will be doing shortly will be a locking stitch the whole way, takes a bit of time and hard on the hands. Need to get a stitching finger guard.
Heres my new camp chopping board, Bob cut me a 50mm slice last time at camp.
just filled in a few grub holes and its good to go, about 400mm round give or take
Yeah looks like a "carnie"
Burnishing up the edges of your sheath at the moment. Will polish it after I have a feed.
I will give you kinky yah muppet.
All finished.
certainly very nice work there OD well done as usual.
playing with some knives trying to figure out how to display them and have three
I've misplaced somewhere, some how, then again they could be anywhere,
Can't be too far away,lol

I have had to put a hold on buying anymore blades for the moment, had an unexpected call from an occupational and Vocational rehab provider "apparently" nominated by work and insurance company and have a meeting with her on monday. She sounded pretty good on the phone and was just as shocked as me that I wasnt notified of this.
Will be interesting to see what happens, even more so seeing as I have done 4 intro courses off my own back on injury management, investigations and procedures.
