Looks like a throw net could've come in handy.
Caught many over the years , bleed them and make
fish patties I reckon HHHMMMMmm patties lol
I can't see why Salmon are not considered a good eating fish. Cooked in a crispy fish pie they are beautiful. MMMM crispy fish pie.
Same here mudnut....they're not the best fish but i love them in patties

Emailed Vic Fish a few weeks ago requesting a Murray Cod measure
along with some fresh water and salt water tape measures [sticky]
They also sent a Murray Cod one as well so very happy with that.
All arrived today in the post, ,,,,,,,tight lines eh lol
Any salmon or Carwhine to others fight well and if bled straight away
make great patties,
Might be the spelling its a KIWI thing,,,,arripis trutta

Bloke at work gave me some "fresh" whiting filets from his trip last week.. they where vac sealed and frozen.. but now been defrosted in the fridge for 7 days still sealed.. still good to eat?
Its the fish they used in "Terror in the Skies" back in the 70s.
As above fresh fish does not smell.
brought some 60lb braid for Cod fishing
Never had any problems with this product before
enough to spool 2 x reels
Prefer the 8 strand but for the price this will do
Smashing day on the squid on the weekend.
20mins and bagged out of Werribeehttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...016/08/164.jpg
Let me know if it's any good.
Also just careful how you tie your knots if it's a very smooth braid as I've noticed on two of my reels I have a very smooth braid and tends to need either more turns/knots and/or I've been trying the FG knot, by far the most superior of all knots. For braid, especially smooth braid.
Not fish but I can't wait to munch out on these mussels. A couple of kg of oysters as well for entree
I know @AB and @MB would love some right now. Can't get any fresher[emoji3]

….................... On the move
Probably a dumb question but why are they on your head?
PM'd @janderson earlier in the week ,,,seems the powers that be have flooded the forest
up at Bearii and all tracks closed. It's good for the ecology I suppose so no harm done. lol
Not quite the case. The Red Gums in the pass got flooded about every 10 years. Now it's every year so the ground stays moist. As red gums are shallow rooted this creates the problem of the old large habitat trees to fall over easily. sParks Vic doing more damage than good. The reason they flood it every year is to get environmental flows though the Barmah Choke which is not natural yearly flow.
My mate's OS ATM but when he returns we'll think about going up the Murray.
Haven't been for a few years due to the back, but feeling better so it may be
doable,,,,,,, lol
