Or see clark rubber or similar and buy a sheet of rubber mat.
I cut my own and they avoid the scrub with bigger wheels, hang lower and sit slightly wider.

Moved your post here to the correct section and renamed it to help you, but as Growlers said 6 hours ago..it is always a good idea to post an introduction before asking for any assistance mate, not that hard really.
whats it worth to you Rick? I have a mate that has one in his shed he might be convinced to part with for the right coin?
As 2 other Mods have said to you though bud >>>>> Say G'day in the intro section or have your thread and account removed! Its really not that hard. We are not Ebay.
hi guys or girls i need a reasonable radiator cowling for gq 4.2 litre diesel. Very Hard to come by any Ideas appreciated . Tiger
I have GQ doors but no mirrors, glass or window mechanisms in them. They're silver, no rust or dings. $70 and they're yours. Fishers freight in Horsham come here every second day so call them for a quote. Their rates are pretty good too.
I only have brand new mirrors for these doors $40 each they mount to the doorskin not the 1/4 window.
My number is 0400 250 734
Cheers, Dave
The wreckers in Gravel Pits Road Geelong has quite a few GQs in his yard mate, give him a bell he may have one on a car there and could freight it to you. Or the Big 4x4 Wrecker in Ballarat would certainly be the go, cant imagine them not having a Cowling. Give them a ring
Yes killametre is a tad far for a weekend drive . thaks anyway Tiger

I'm really after the front radius arms & the rear upper & lower stabilizer arms 2 short & 2 long ones. I'm in Ipswich QLD so please only in my area & upto a 100klm radius.
Cheers guys,
PM me ( Rick ) if you can help out
I have some of this gear at home mate ill have a look tomorrow and pm you with what i have i need to get rid of it and make some space in shed.
Update:
I've sort of given up on this project now because just about every Patrol I've been to inspect has some form of major rust in it. One guy was even asking $8k for one with both roof rear corners and the passenger side rear slider window eaten away that badly you could see into the cabin. I could go the way of the GQ 2.8LTD but with the price of these still hanging around the $10-15k mark, it just isn't logical.
I've researched and decided instead to drop a V8 into the Surf which will set me back less (about $6K) than what it would take to purchase a Patrol. The only decision left now is whether to go with the 1UZ-FE or 350/LS1. All adaptors for the 350 will set me back around $2.5k and the engine around the $3-4k mark. The 1UZ-FE is about $1.2k for a half cut but there is a lot more work involved in setting it up. Compare that to buying a rust-free Patrol and dropping in a 400hp $4.5k RB30DET and you will understand that it just isn't a financially sound investment or practical.
Trying to find a good Patrol for under the cost of converting the Surf seems to be unlikely, and I've had enough of travelling to see these "excellent condition" Patrols only to be faced with another disappointing example.
Decisions, decisions.
Thanks for the interest and help guys.
I have seen a few nice rd28 gq patrols about with blown up motors cheap enough actually i have bought two of them lol keep looking .
You just have to have the cash waiting and jump on them as soon as they pop up.
Oh man keep lookin for a troll you have toothpick axles on your surf! i destroyed a lolux front diff with a tired commy v6
Hey guys, are these available at all? I'm sure I've seen a couple drive past...
Yes they certainly are Mate. A couple of members are making them.
Search "stickers" in the search and you will find them. Sorry on the iPhone and it will be easy to find mate.
if you PM TasLucas, he has made a set up and a few other members but i can never remebers. I got mine of Tazzy
