Damn it Healy, Really sorry to hear that bud. Have you had a Quote for that? did you pay top dollar for the GU? Have you called teh bloke and called him a Dog yet? He certainly deserves a Call at a minimum... He probably wont give a crap but it will make you feel better.
I'd be inclined to stop the Cheque mate! You can and Should.
Looking around the 2g to do the head etc plus radiator yeah we spoke to him denies it but have found out that he is sort of mates with a family member he will get his own one day cost 10 for the car and I think I have seen the worst aftermarket wire set up in my life stripped all of it out back to a stock gu now it's just down to patients and money now

Best of luck Healy! I know what it's like. Cost me 5k to rebuild my 2.8ltr after the dealer kicked in the other 2.5k (7.5k rebuild total). He only complied when I threatened to drive it through his shop window at Car C!ty. Head had no less than 17 cracks in it the mechanic told me.
As per message I sent today that I cant repeat in polite company but the short of it is I am pissed and so sorry for you, I wish I could click my fingers and fix this!!!
I am still so keen for this meet up and look forward to catching up with the rest of you lot.....
