What me made me happy today was once again working on my Gq getting it ready for Simpson trip and having phill patrolapart Christmas Hills devision to have exactly what I needed to overcome my problem today!

Swapped out the front door hinges today and away went tha clunk and double door thump. Also plugged in the electonics for the air/out temps on the intercooler and it worked first up, also powered up the fuel computer after it having sat in a bucket for 2 yrs, powered straight up, no additional set-up procedures - like what is happening here???

I am enjoying these days a bloke's YT channel called "Down in the Shed with Byron". He and his son are putting together a Holden HT UTE (not that I have ever known one of this) mostly from junk rusted donors. The boy is minor and it seems it will be his first car I assume. He looks at a pile of junk car and say "it's mint"!

Had my Ryobi folding shop light fall off the ladder today, it was about a month old. Decided to call in to Bunnings and see how I go in getting it replaced.
Walked up to the counter and told the lady behind the counter just that, it fell of the ladder. She looked at it and thought then said "well you wouldn't expect a workshop light to break like that, go over to the tool shop and grab another one.
Then I hopped over to Supercheap to pick up the special order radiator hoses for the wife's outlander that I finished weeks ago. Asked if I could get a refund on them and place another special order, this time for a full set of radiator and heater hoses for the GU. Yep, that's fine.

Been running full synth oil in the ZD30 for about 3000kms. Not using a drop and I reckon the motor is quieter.
Sposed to run semi synth, but I thought I'd give it a go, Gulf & Western 15w40. Around $50 for 5 litres from memory.
You could drive it on the past. Just scrape through in a 4wd. Unfortunately too many people got stuck and it's now walking only...(Or motorcycle! [emoji28])Quote:
