After a couple of months with just about everything going on. Both good stuff and not so good we finished off a busy run celebrating my wife's 50th over the long weekend. Now a few normal weekends and we start again with Xmas.

My little 12v oven broke a pin on the closing latch. I have been chasing oil leaks from the engine cooler and the hydraulic system for both winches - today can say no leaks, all resolved, bloody headache and lots of work to undo the set up that took ages to configure.

What has made me happy today is I finally got my beast back together today and running sweet, I started in June last year, I don't like to rush things.
New timing chain, new injector pump seals, new glow plugs, new fuel injection pipes, new vacuum/fuel hoses, new aux battery...
Now just gotta get the aircon regassed :)

Not sure if I'm happy or not.
My eldest daughter, who is 20, recently scored a new job, she starts at the end on Feb. She is going to be a ringer at Nokatunga station. Pretty much a south west in Queensland you can get. The station is on 2 million acres and has its own pub. Lol. She will be playing with around 20,000 head of cattle as well as doing station work.

She's one bloody brave kid and I'm a tad nervous about it to say the least. But I cannot and will not stop her from having a go. I do have a feeling once she gets the taste for life out there she'll stay out there, as she's much like me, hates the city life with a passion and can't get enough of the rural life.

Have got another box back in december with bailey channels as well. Tried to find a similar one on the local market but nothing fitted nicely.
The windshield seal I was able to get with the windshield itself a couple of years ago.
Trunk side glasses I have not pulled the trigger yet because I am still trying to improvise with local market seals from other cars. The sliding window is proving to be a challenge.
GQ is getting neat! Hope I find some time to write about the latest things I have put together.
I bought Nissan Patrol Genuine Door Seals and bailey channels from PAP and had a few bee stings. Two doors were too tight and the doors needed to be slammed shut to close, so was forced to swap them out to the originals. I also installed all new bailey channels, but found the front windows would not slide to the final closed position, was bunching up in the corner of the window frame, so I ended up swapping them back to the original, tried talcum powder, didn't work.
