Our EBA negotiation's have just turned to s*** and it's about to get bloody ugly. Industrial actions coming up as company vs. union meetings have hit a brick wall. Never a good thing, as one doesn't know how long it will last and who will cave in. Nervous times ahead.
How are we gents.
Im sitting back with friends showing them the patrols on the church pic and they are amazed!
One guy pointed towards bennys rig and said that....is...a well...set up...hunk of poo!!
Pretty well setup.... for a hunk of poo lmao
Yeah I know wrong thread...lmao. I don't know how I did that...makes me "angry",..lol
AB's inability to post in the correctly designated thread makes me angry!!!!!! :p
How can you stay angry after being here. Lol
But what is had is working till 11pm Friday night while every1 else is drinking... Doh
Neighbour just told me something i don't wan tto hear. there were 2 blokes sniffing around my car last night, specifically the spare wheel. My cameras confirmed it. Alarm didn't go off, so they didn't make contact as it's very sensitive. Couldn't pick up their rego since the turds parked several houses down. Other neighbours cam would have got their car fully but they're away for weeks. The way they drove into the court and parked, headed towards my place is concerning as it was obvious which vehicle they were targeting. :furious:
Good times.
Dammit that makes me angry too......
Why can't people work for their own toys like everyone else instead of stealing other peoples stuff?
Caaaaarrrrrrrnnnnnnnts
Yeah it's so very frustrating. They'd never take it amongst the tracking, alarm and the kill switch, but it just makes your blood boil somebody is eyeing off your stuff on your OWN property. Fkn hell.
Hope the cockroaches crashed somewhere after last night and got very hurt.
Cracked the sh!ts with the laptop doing wierd sh!t so decided to start pulling it apart and managed to break some plastics in the internal case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And do you think the stupid piece of crap would come apart.......................NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FFFFFFFFFFFARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a great week off, did a 2" lift on the new truck. First day back at work today and the biatch of a boss is already giving me a hard time. Great job, hate the boss. Just got an email to call her again tomorrow. Apparently 12hr day is not long enough. Any one got a job going?
Day 2 with no computer!
I actually just got home and sat at my desk out of habit... Lol
I'm naked and feel lost!!!
SHAM CONTRACTING
Just found out I was employed illegally for the last 6 years. Not this job the last 2..Down here farmers make you get an ABN and you do all your taxes, holidays, insurance the lot.So the rules state if you are employed and told what hours you work, what to do and a heap of other stuff you are actually a employee..I only found this out when I went to do my TAX........then got told that it was illegal for them to make me work like this........Been fighting with myself for about month whether to do something about it.Why?cause I hate grief, not only that I actually still like one of my bosses...But I worked for him for 6 yrs..But at the end of the dfay I used to work 7 days a week for a month or so at a time worked weekends form October every year till may.
The worst thing of all I live in a small community and I see these guys from time to time, then one side says I shouldn't and the other side say ffff'm.made them shit loads worked my arse off.Shit we used to work Christmas, new year, easter the lot...So do I cop a 17,000 tax bill(yes I know I never did it shit I was only on 15 bucks an hr contract when I started, how was I suppose to survive. So to start with I never did it,then I got scared so I never did it.Then when I did I just thought I better before all shit hit the fan) and play MR nice guy or go after these guys..
So this all made me angry to start with but now I'm annoyed..
Sorry for the letter
Neil mate. Is your boss now doing the right thing by you?
I dont think thrres any harm in taking your documents to you previous employers and saying."hey what you guys did was illegal." And see what comes out of it
If you are to be employed as a contractor you can pick your own hours and do what you feel needs to be done..Thats the advice I have received so far..Getting it looked at atm..will get a lawyer maybe but atm I will be talking to the workplace Obudsman....As the law is written if you are told what to do and have your hours decided,do much the same job day in day out you are a employee...
@Rusty......nah mate these guys are doing the right thing...salary,house fuel electricity super holiday pay public holidays...and as far as going to them(the old ones, don't want to be pointed at saying I was trying to extort money dude, rather the legal people do the work then there's no he said she said.)
Maybe unfortunately they didn't know the laws regarding contractors
After having 6 weeks off work I am now at the airport waiting to go back.
This time is worse than usual leaving the new baby for the first time but ya gotta do what ya gotta do hey.
On a happier note I am looking forward to the first full nights sleep in 4 weeks.
I'm up to day 3...denial...lol
I think this will be a similar situation as us contracting in the IT industry. I would be surprised if what they have done is illegal from their side. Just means you have tax responsibilities as if you were employed. So I'm guessing it was your responsibility to pay the Tax Office because you were using the ABN etc.
The Tax Office don't seem to care as much about the contractual/legal obligations between the two of you, just that they are getting the tax. It was to try and cut down on claims like income splitting. Having a work relationship as an employee but making claims like a business (e.g. Hiring wife as secretary for 40% of income).
I had the opposite situation where I finished as an employee and started company. Consulted back to them for a bit and had a fight over insurance. They then paid me as employee and deducted tax instead of paying invoice (because then they were covered on their insurance). I think what they did was illegal. Tax Office hinted it was but wouldn't say anything binding. On advice from Tax Office only option was to take them to court. Tax Office themselves did not care as he hadn't done anything against them. For a few thousand dollars it wasn't worth going to court.
So, summary, as liftlid says I don't think it is black and white. Get good advice before ruining any relationship with people. Sorry for your pain in any case.
Union vs. company s***fight regarding our EBA is intensifying by the minute. Going to work each morning is like driving through thick fog. Not knowing what's going to happen once I'm through the gates... Even scarier, it seems it'll all lead into and beyond xmas too.
effn bunch of lazy ffffffs at work who call themselves managers............... tossers
RANT OVER
Work politics sux big ones Hodge . Creates a toxic culture for everyone involved . Hope it pans out soon for you .
It's an absolute bastard mate. The unknown ahead is eating everyone away and the morale at work is at rock bottom. Company is trying to divide and conquer, there is split little social opinionated groups on the union side, and people are stressing. And you don't need that going through your head considering the work we do (High voltage power lines).
People have mortgages, kids, commitments. Weeks ahead will be interesting. As much as I hate it, I'm creeping ever so closer to that depression thread this forum has going.
Took this photo early September check out the dates of the burn period, how does this reliably inform us of when we could be in danger????????????????????????????????????????
Does that mean you can only access the area for 3 months next year?
