After years of questionable “why” ‘s from all Guilty Nuffy’s, yet always kindly Trailblazing MudDozing ahead at the front of Adventures, it all made sense at 1:55 below, sludge clearing….9 gallons per minute (twinsies) each side, near 100L per minute saviours, Thanks Dazman [emoji123][emoji123][emoji736][emoji736]

Sounds like a beast! Loved it!
What is that muffler-like bridge from turbo to intake manifold? Some sort of water-cooler?
Talking about Tas Adventure, was watching some YT the other day and recognized one place you and MudRunner were, where his GQ was "too close" to rolling. A waterfall close to the ocean. It was nice to recognize that from pictures I've seen here.

I do rate it highly so far and no need for a hole in my bonnet depressuring the engine bay in bogholes [emoji23]
Yep, the waterfall on Climies Track, we took the chicken track this time around, it’s getting worse and if you roll a bead climbing it…….you ARE dead [emoji22]

Got to drive this bad boy today. Amazingly stable and went absolutely everywhere. Pretty cool little machine. Swivel seat so you look forwards both ways.

finally finished off some tidy up & 'make it better' work under the bonnet.
fitted a battery isolator switch, reran some cabling, repaired an SBI12, removed & cleaned the catch can, cleaned around the catch can area, fabb'd up a new pre fuel filter holder & fitted same (could've done a motor swap in less time), removed dead 2nd battery, removed gunk, repaired broken bits n pieces, tightened this n that.
started on the 3rd battery electrics yesterday, almost finished that, just making it a little more robust and more neaterer.
New fuel pre filter holder pre painting...

bought 6 pairs of 2x magnifying reading glasses for $10.29.
$10.29, you know they're going to be great!
Contacted UFI-WA as a Mexican Nuffy with a plan last year thankfully with previous Guru QLD guidance learned & read here [emoji120][emoji120]
Loving this Forum, old Grandpa Spec TD42 internally rebuilt thereafter locally exactly how Mr Nissan should have released them with some WA stable/balanced Diesel & Air incoming [emoji736][emoji736][emoji3590][emoji3590][emoji106][emoji106]

OK who cancelled our new mate today? I was impressed how he could in just 3 posts be so condescending and pompous I was actually looking forward to his continuance here. Woulda been fun to press his buttons for a laugh.
I guess? But maybe it will also force people to interact face to face better as I feel alotta social medias etc has ended up with alot of people just struggling to hold a basic conversation or focus on anything longer than it takes a reel to finish? People might just have to get back to being actual people with good interpersonal relationships.

The only social media I have is a couple of special interest forums like this one. No Facebook, instagram, TikTok etc. A guy I’m working with at the moment gets all his news and worldly information from social media, and is a certified space cadet in his mid 40s. He explained “reels” to me recently when I said I had no idea what he was talking about. He said it was “real life” stories as opposed to made up stuff. I don’t know if that’s right or not and not interested in being told what it is if it’s wrong, but if it’s true I bloody give up. I’ll buy myself a cabin in the bush and live like a happy hermit while the world “turtles”. :D
The meme is : I tried outdoor life. The graphics were fantastic but the plot was boring.
Mate I went for a cruise in the Otways a few weeks ago and came across a spot where I saw an old vehicle track off the dirt road. Backed up to have another look and yep definitely been vehicles down there but it now had saplings growing up over it. Interest got the better of me so I parked up and walked down the old track through the light scrub. Got through into a clearing and saw an old bbq. Hmm, this is interesting I thought. Walked a bit further in and saw a shed about 10x6. Feck. Backtracked back to my car, got in, flicked a leech off my arm and drove away. Think I found a hermit and wondered if he knew I was snooping (without alterior motives) or whether it was just an old shed.
I’d be happy to be The Button Man. I’m so over having to share my oxygen with other humans here that really don’t deserve it and are just wasting it. Lol.

There is a proper meme out there, but I was just too lazy to find it, copy it and paste. But what it means is that the new generations would rather be online, gaming, than being there in person.

Staring a new project. That amazing colour change when you first start dressing the timber. Soo happyAttachment 86775

And then to this. Fyi the colour in photos never do that colour justice, there is just so much potential, compare what you might know the colour of pine(on the wall) to the colour of the timber I just dressed. Soooo much more exciting

Oh do tell....Is it a bar top?
gum? That stuff is hard on knives/cutters/machines.
Good wood tho. Not too common here on the main island. Made myself some trestles out of it... know where a few more meters are stacked up too, but gaddamn it's unfriendly stuff.
...gawd I wish I still felt that way about wood. But after you've run a few hundred (thousand?) metres of the shit through machines...the novelty wears off. And if you're doing it with a hand plane... you're just mad!
Definitely no to the hand tools mate haha I have a thicknesser. I've machines a fair amount of wood over time, but the novelty hasn't worn off yet thankfully. Nah it's going to be a bed for my youngest. He's outgrown his cot, which I made also lol. Yeah this timber is very very hard on the equipment but hard work bring big rewards imho. At a guess I think it's karri. Grain is nice and straight so not Redgum and when I bought the pack of timber the bloke said there was a mix of fiddle back messmate, iron bark, karri, some Redgum sleepers and some otherstuff. I bought it from a saw mill and believe it was just timber that didn't fit an the neat packs for shipping so it was consolidated over time and then left without thought on how to get rid of it. Scored the whole pack for under $150 I think.

Hey mate, yep were upgrading him to a king single. It's just longer than a single bed it you don't know. I've made alot of furniture around the home, including all the beds and cots. Here are the beds I've made(can't find one of my daughter's)

finished off tidying up fridge, battery, lighting etc type wiring yesterday.
don't know why, but i'm getting 14v registering on my poor mans scanguage, my dc-dc charger input and the output of the charger has bumped up a bit now as well.
just shortened a few +ve leads, removed a few leads, cleaned a few -ve connections, replaced a fuse.
old girl's running like a top now.
after 20+ years, also christened the garage floor on saturday. 8.2 litres of old diesel oil spilt, coz someone forgot to pull out the oil bucket before they backed out of the shed. that didn't make me happy.
sand and engine degreaser to the rescue.
