I think, for any man, whatever nationality. to admit he has a mental health problem should be applauded.
The male macho crap that is prevelant in most sports, must have made it very difficult to do so.
Don`t matter if he is Aus, English or South African, the guy needs help, has admitted it and perhaps give the guy a little credence rather than taking the piss.
I would have said the same if it was one of your guys, so no favouritism here Kev.
I agree fracster, support is what is required in this situation, not ridicule.
Hope he gets better and is able to resume playing.
At last we have a Team which is competitive .
One up is a good position to be in but I expect the Brits to come back hard.
Lets hope for a Good Series.
BTW Fracster I agree with your comments in respect of Trott
With regards to the broken arm comment, the Umps have sorted it out and some ex players should really but out,
They need to be reminded they had their go and its not about them any more.
One up gotta be happy with that good overall performance IMO
Sounds like the umps didn't sort it out, it then escalated to where Clarke was too close to a mike and ended up the patsy.
These ex players are paid to comment, I suppose they haven't got a tap on their view to turn off when the game coverage is finished.
Like it or not it is all free promotion for the next game in Adelaide, we will all be wondering what is going to happen next.
Bring it on, love our summers of cricket.
agreed ade I really hope he gets better as someone who has stared death in the face before, I understand his trauma but im going to have a little banter with you along the way, and if it were one of our guys having problems I doubt he would admit any problem he would get on the piss and punch someone in the face, hmmm. kev
banter and sledging on the field always should stay on the field ive heard some absolute beuties on the field including stuff from umpiring my sons junior cricket and all the kids in the entire comp were friends and none of them ever had a problem, so im guessing this is just the pommies way of trying to get the heads back in the game
