GU for me...still haven't broken one, and the GQ needed a couple of repairs ( cracked inner guards ) over the years.
Although, if I broke the GU, it might break me.... :(
I notice that Mego's tough GU's look at home in the concrete jungle.
I'm happier riding in a gurl than a gq
Let's face it , if you could afford a GU you would have one !
Nuff said :-p
If you had seen clunk you would know why he looks good in a gq, they are the same in appearance as him, very dated and rough around the edges lol.
What are you blokes on about ? A GU is the exactly the same as a GQ,. If you ignored the GU's bigger and more comfortable interior, more aggressive look and the fact it doesn't look like a 88 model cruiser from the inside its the same car!!!!! Ha ha just kidding the GU is a much more comfortable and much more pleasant ride than its siblings and I have owned one of each except the g60.

Sssshhhh! Every one quite can you hear that ???? I can hear the GQ's rusting!!!! PML
Going the opposite direction!!
Lmao
Edit: hey George, I have just got awesome quick internet (yeah I know, welcome to the 21st century!)and I was wondering if you have a YouTube channel where I can see some of your street cars?
Pm if you prefer......
Dont worry I'm not a cop haha
FanTapstic!
TBH i'm not good with computers and without tapa i struggle to upload a pic on the forum lol i have a few vids and pics on my phone but not many coz i lost alot of them when i chucked a darky and obliterated my N93 nokia lol.
What exactly did you want to see, cars i have owned? Worked on ? Or general cars that get around??
How many stolen street cars do you find deep into bush tracks,??
Drive it like you stole it I say.
As for which is tougher, Always been a big fan of the GQ ute, wagons are no good for serious
off road stuff, too much rear overhang, sure you can cut them but straight out of the box its the GQ ute for me.
proud owner of a GQ TD42T ute, coils all round!!! Suits me fine
So continuing from the early hijack
@ Taslucas
My GU is tough enough, i only make it 5% tougher lmao!! Its capabilities on and off rd are complimented by its stunningly good looks !!
@ Winnie
If your car is able to do a burnout then why not!?? How i drive the car doesn't mean i don't appreciate it, it just means i drive all my car hard when i'm not using it for my intended purpose. Anyway its a GU it can take it!!
Your GU can't compete with this
If you're happy and you know it tap a post!
I consider that as tough as a Daihatsu Terios or this
Attachment 28687
Now this is a beast, sex on wheels !!!!
Attachment 28689
The nut behind the wheel doesn't in IMO mean the toughest
My 2cw is anything that came out STD with steel bumpers is by far tougher
than anything protected by plastic.
@ Winnie If someone throws some money into a GU I'm sure it would match your ride but its the toughest
not most photographed but GQ by far tougher wide wheelbase smaller cabin area compared to GU, better approach and departure
Could someone confirm that please. An not many GQs got a reputation like the mighty ZD30. again has to be the GQ
I take we are talking straight off the showroom floor here, level playing field then.
From one who has owned both GQ's & GU's they are both awsome 4WD's
@ Bob so your answer would be, And remember we spoke of this on the Murray.
OR
Different era's different technology
Come on guys we all know the GU wouldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding
