Bump for some new members
9 more sleeps!!!! For me anyway!!! lol
Looking forward to it like you couldn't imagine!!
oh alright, you talked me into it - catch you all on the Saturday! (got too much study to do, so can only be for one day)
bringing a mate along too - toyota though :(
I'm sending our new NissanPatrol.com.au banner up to you guys too so hopefully we get some great group photos for the forum too!!!
Update: just spoke to the owner and a few things to know.
1. Don't go past the roundabout on Sandy Creek Road (goes to the hollows and you can't get through) - apparently GPS units try to take you this way
2. Keep LEFT on Swan Gully Road - there are signs for a 4x4 park going right, but that goes to City View park (wrong place).
3. Bring firewood - most stocks in the valley are now depleted. We can go up to the ridges and cut fallen timber to bring back logs for bigger fires (and we will), however there is limited material around the campsites we are at.
4. They have penciled us into campsites 1, 1A and 2 based on the numbers coming - we'll put a sign up at the office anyway, so there'll be no other campers in those grounds other than us.
4. UHF 17 when you get to the park.
There is a shop within driving distance outside the park, but nothing at the office, so make sure you have all you need.
Looking very forward to it .. hope everyone who's said they're coming makes it ... should be a hoot!!
Oh crap the pressures on. Just snapped all the bolts on the 75ser rear hub..... Again! And have to fit all new spring bushes on her befor next weekend and that's after I remove and re fit an auto gearbox to the GQ. Don't ya just love having to do everything at the same time your moving..... Well just about finished moving. There should be about 6-10 people in my convoy of a GQ, D22 and the HZJ75.
Yep that sucks. I am doing a castor correction and getting the rear sway bar back on and doing the typical sticky tape job then were set :)
Bad news I may not turn up it depends on work I'm currently on a big install job in a silver mine just out of texas. its at the comissioning stage atm so its hectic. I have my new shocks in but I havnt been able to get my sliders we'll see what happens.
8 more sleeps ... who's an excited boy then, who is, yes you are, yes you are .... goochy goochy goo .. lmao!!!
Rear hubs done. Should get the box this weekend and fit it on Saturday......fingers x'd. Spring bushes should be a piece of piss bro. Just spewing my XROX bar for the GQ won't be here for a few weeks (4 week turn around). Would also have been nice to have fitted the spare winch under the tray, on the rear of the 75ser.
