towed a taxi. boss was surprised how well it pulls. yep the 26 year old car goes and saves the 5 year old car.
so now the wife is complaining that its too hard to get into. yay time for rock sliders, no wait i mean side steps. any way you slice it they will do both jobs.
my rough sketch ...

well welded up one of the steps today.. still gotta shape the pipe for the other side then source steel for the brackets...
i found a rattle yay. turns out the drivers side bonnet hinge is completely cactus. and the passenger side isn't far behind.
only rattled at idle stopped at a set of lights. not all the time. had the window open and put my hand on the bonnet and it stopped.
What an awesome thread mate, keep up the good work,
the constant repairing and not letting things worsen is inspiring.
I just purchased a GQ St Coil Cab Ute.
and i plan on a ground up.
got one side step fitted, just needs braces and paint, the other i will finish fitting monday,
Nice work mate can't wait to see pics

so the pass side headlight dies and 2 of the central locking actuators die. replaced it all with spares i had laying around. gotta get a decent H4 globe or 2 as i'm running out of 2nd hand globes...
Don't have some spare mud flaps with half decent brackets and a passenger side rear bar indicator brake light by any chance @garett ?
And whats with the black bonnet?
i know a guy that had mudflaps next time i see him i'll ask if hes got em still. but i think they will say ford. :P they would be brand new though. mine never had lights in the bar. just the ones beside the doors. still got the original bar...
oh the matt black bonnet reduces the glare. works quite well looks a bit silly but it functional.
got around to rewiring the headlights. used wire far to big for the globes cos i had it available. makes a decent difference even with only one light being done.
do your headlights have relays to go with the upgraded wiring.???
ok so now when its cold out she feels like its running on 3 cylinders on start up for a few seconds. what brand glow plugs would you recommend. i'll be removing the originals so its gunna need a good soaking.
and while i'm at it in a little while i'm gunna have to do the clutch....
fixed up one of the mud flaps, the metal section rusted away, made up a steel bracket works like a bought one
