You went out for a bush & all we get is 2 pics????
Harsh clunk, very harsh..........................hahahahahahah
Hey you're lucky I managed to get those 2, I've only been waiting 2 weeks to get them................... still trying to get vids and pics of the other guy but will probably take almost as long asit takes Nowoolies to post a pic!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha
Now Now you two................... If you really want to settle this then have your card readers at the ready....................hahahahahahaha
& I'll judge so start paying me off now.....................................hahahahaha hahaha
Thanks to Nowoolies for introducing me to the guys at OL, I now have a nice new set of 33" x 12.5" Mickey Thompson 4 rib ATZ's on black 15 x 8 rims........ they sure to fill up those wheel arches, tyres rub on the mud flap mounting bracket on full lock, so they're going to have to come off. Might have to follow AB & Biggus Riggus's lead and do the bunnings flares too, makes my 2" lift look non existent now!!!!!!!! lol

Looks great mate, Woof......was going to have a look at the meeting but forgot
Time for a 4" lift now clunkster! :-) looks good mate wish id gone for a black rim
Supremely good choice of tyre mate!!! Top all rounder.
Yep - doing the flares will open those guards right back up again ... As will the 4" lift !!!! lol
your up late lurkin bud! black rims r the tits! =P
and the offset, all in all looks like a nice ride mate, what next?
still early here rusty only 11 mate....................... yeah definitely liking the black rims, been a long time coming those new boots!!!!!! lol
time for the 6 monthly service so that will be next, all the usual bit's n pieces but will have to be done bit by bit, coz I'll be learning as I go.
Gonna look at getting some sliders to replace the bent up alloy ones, then eventually front bar.
He's not a bad ol' bus, just clocked over 200k but has just started the good old peeling paint syndrome these things are know for, so I guess I'll end up having to strip him down and give him a new coat at some point
yeah your truck will certainly look alot more capable with those annoying alloy bars outta the way and or replaced, im just going through the same process, my thread is in the DIY section if your interested in the pics. im striping it to bits and my mate is painting the whole thing. im even gonna change the colour of the dash. this is my second troll, and the greay is wearing a little thin on me lol, always been into black, so thats what the paint job is gonna be.
200k? too easy mate, my current model has done nearly 300k and the old one clocked just over 450k, and it only went cos of theives. do you do the servicing yourself? i think there is nothing better than keeping her up to date yourself, knowing that youve done it all good and proper instead of having to trust it was done correctly. i sevice my car every 5000ks and she purrs like a kitten lol
yeah I've been having a look at your thread there, will definitely be keeping an eye out - love a good diy thread. Black will look bloody great, I think there's a guy on here called Ady who has a Safari, he's not long sprayed it black and it looks the dogs nuts mate, bloody fantastic............... I'm just a servicing newby, and not overly mechanically minded but did the last oil change, coolant flush, thermostat and thermostat housing. Also did the lift kit with a mate of mine - he instructed while I did it........................ I like the whole learning process and like you said , it's a good feeling. Next thing to learn will be A/T fluid change & diff oil and a few other bit's n pieces
i did my suspension kit with a forklift haha, beats winding and un winding jacks. the serviceing and general maintenance also teaches you important things like getting to know your way around the engine, which is essential if your going bush, also makes fixing those little things soooo much cheaper, i dont have a whole lotta cash, but i gotta whole lotta room in my head to learn and i have the balls to give anything a go, and i think thats all anyone needs.
personally i have no automotive background, i am an IT technician, mostly always worked in offices or bars, but i love to fix things, and buying old cars give me that outlet, thats what i love most about cars anyway. its ashame they are getting so advanced tho, cos it means that tinkering for someone like me is soon to be a thing of the past.
ill be posting up some more pics next week and a new DIY thread on how to install a pertronix elec ignition kit, cant wait to figure that one out:thumbup: and cant wait to share it with everyone on here
yep that's exactly how I did mine, back on page eight I think!!!!!! lol....... I'm in the same boat as you, always on the hunt for stuff and bargains on the net, very rarely buy anything mind you but always looking!!!!!!!! hahahahaha..
I'll be keeping an eye out on your threads mate, places like this I find are invaluable, so much better than any manuals too
nice rig clunk........looking forward to seeing it in person

Hey Clunk,
The new wheels and boots look great,
Look foward to hearing what you think of the performance and handling of them.
Gavin
Thanks Gav, early days with the new boots, we had a spot of rain a few days back and have to say I'm impressed with the grip of these things on a wet road, superb under breaking and cornering (unlike my old and pretty worn BFG A/Ts), now I can drive like a hoon once again (ok maybe not)!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha....................... haven't had the chance to try them off road yet but will keep you informed.
couple more piccies.......... just because I like me new boots so much................. oh yeah finally fitted the roof rack I picked up ages ago. Going to have to come up with some sort of quick fastening and release for this thing as I've got buckleys chance of parking it under the carport with it on........
