C'mon guys... looks like gearbox is ok but clutch is costing heaps and we are going to need rear LSD plus oil ,slave cylinder, seals and other small things that add up!!!
I have been overwhelmed with the response and when I told my wife this morning she said she wanted to cry..!!!!!
And can people running the factory Nissan ARB bar take a pic from the bottom up to where the winch cradle is supposed to be.
Tomorrow I will give an update on funds received so far and what the expected costs are to be.... I am so tired.. been one long day?????
I'll put up some others from underneath tomorrow,

The bolts holding the alum fairlead are also the top winch mount bolts.
Hey BA, send bank details please
Lol.. I'm a gentle giant.. still throw a mean punch but..

Hey guys - since I've seen the responses on here over the last day or so kinda felt guilty I haven't chipped in more - so happy to say I will throw in $1k to the cause. Now - before I get hit with the saint thing again - I'll be perfectly honest and let you know I'm writing half off it off on tax thanks to the ATO and the charitable donation thing! This kinda thing is better than EBAY and makes you feel a whole lot better too!
Jas
Actually - since BA's missus is a bean counter I'll match all donations up to $2k dollar for dollar until Friday 5pm. Soooooo BA - let me know how much I'm up for by then and I'll send it over. Hopefully if this mob get it together I'll be out of pocket $2k! And - for the forum member who is going through this tough time - mate - I hope it gets better and gets sorted. This forum is behind you mate and hopefully this helps a tough situation better!
Jas
I think you need legal documents from a solicitor i know when we did a fundraiser for my mrs dad when he had his accident we collected a lot of doh but for everyone that was donating we had to get something written up, one of the prizes was worth 10k. But i'm not entirely sure how it all worked coz i didn't organize it but i'll see if the mrs knows anything about it in the morning.
Mate you are seriously a top bloke and i'm sure the respect for you is growing across the forum!! Hats off to you, BA and every one donating!!!!
Hey mate - all good - as a couple of people know on here I have a couple of tame lawyers on the books! Not blowing smoke up my own you know what - but to be honest - even if I can't write it off - all good here. Not made of money - but do have enough in the business to cover it - and like I've said before - hopefully if I am in ever a situation of need then I would like to think it would come back. Mate - I'm just a normal bloke like everyone on here - but when I see a story posted like BA's - well you just gotta muck in and help out yeah? :) Thanks for the comments mate! Appreciate it but just want people to know I am doing this for a good cause - not for the kudos!
Jas
Hey Scotty - when you figure what is needed let me know and I can help cover some of the parts. Also - if you and Mat (nissannewby) are flying down let me know and I will cover the flights....... You might be flying cattle class (or maybe cargo hold) but I'll get you down there!
Jas
I didn't get stuck into it that far but for the time being what BA and i saw we need as a definite is a clutch ( a forum member is pulling strings for the parts) a LSD ( either rebuild kit or GOOD second hand) and most likely the hydraulic side of the clutch ie master and slave. The next chance i get i'll go have a better look with BA to make a final list!!!
Yeh that sounds right, spot on mate!!
Ok so Scotty and I will need dates then we can organize our end and all good.
If in fact it is a h260 rear which would make sense being a manual 3.0, then I have a centre that came out of the girls ute when they put a locker in so have parts here.
I would also like to know the cost of the clutch if the member chasing this up could let me know please, as George knows I can get some alright prices.
Jas if you can remember how I had them you can mix me rums while in there.
Also if there are any tooling requirements just sing out and I'll see if I have anything
Cheers.
Ok so thats the Diff, your a Champ Matt!
I will investigate exactly what parts I have when I get home. Others may know more but when the air lockers go in everything is changed bar the pinion
We can salvage the crown wheel off the original center, my main concern is the clutch pack and adjust the back lash coz i don't have a dial indicator. When we drove it before i couldn't hear any over run from the teeth so thats a good sign!!
But i'll continue tomorrow coz its 1.30am here and i need to get up in 4hrs ffs lol
Amazing thread, well done to all of you, such human kindness is rare.
Dunno who the member is and am not really bothered, but please post up the finished product and numerous shots of you getting drunk afterwards.
Hey fracster - I'll be drunk beforehand!
Jas
When you guys get the list up put names to who has what part, or we'll end up with 3 centres, 2 clutches, half a dozen welders and a gazilon beer caddyz (i belive jas has that spot licked..) ;)

Well this thread went Nuts!! Nice one guys! Jas your a legend! Newby and Scottie great effort guys! George, Well George! you do good mate!
Is the clutch going to get done on the hoist by the mechanic who volunteered? certainly the safest way by far! Very bloody heavy!
Sounds like this is going to be huge! If its not a H260 then i have a Very good LSD here that i took out of a diff on the weekend but it is wrapped in a 3.9 centre. your welcome to it. happy to strip it out but dont have the skills to rebuild it into the new diff. If it fits its yours!
Given the state of the car, is there value or consideration in doing a front end overhaul? Swivel Hub and king pin rebuild? I have done a few and would be happy to get very dirty doing that. If the kit is there i would be happy to do a side (sound like there will be a heap of blokes)
Nice one BA, great effort mate. I will try and make a deposit in the coming days to.
