I recommend staying at Mundulla. Quiet, and has a great pub.
When I did the trip, We started on the west side of the reserve near Pertendi hut. We then followed that track to to centre track, and turned north. we then turned east to Nanam Well. Followed that through to near Scorpion Springs, and turned south onto the Border Track.

We dropped in at Red Bluff, and continued on to home base.
The Border track was pretty easy as well when dry. Although we nearly had a Disco roll when its front tyre got caught in a savagely deep rut. Has anyone driven the western part of Gnarkat?
Straight down the border
Pinnaroo to Frances.
Is it worth while doing a side trip into the little desert?

I was in Bordertown on Monday and got soaked to the bone cutting firewood. Those clay flats on the southern end of the track near Frances will be getting pretty slippery and fun.

Anyone know of, been to or anything about a big meet in Whyalla on the Oct long weekend? I think it's called the 4wd invasion of Whyalla. An annual event.
Thanks TPC for that.
Looks interesting. Should go as members of the SKS 4wd club. lol
How can an entire state be blacked out? I understand that extreme weather events happen and so on but the entire state.
