GU mk2 variants

As you know I am new, but still a little confused abnout the models
From the specs you have posted the GU mk2 runs from 2004 until now, but it is also known as a GUII to GUVII and I see people talking about the GU 8, which some have suggested refers to the new one to be released with redesigned body etc.
Where do all the sub variants of the MK2 start and finish?
Do you know if the GU8 is the same as the existing shape or is it for the new shape to be released?
Sorry in advance if I missed something in the thread that explains this.

I would always say it's good to look back at the past to be able to know the evolution so to speak of our current vehicle.
