Thanks Plassy, I am going to call my Nissan dealer this morning to find out what their company recall was all about and what the company engineering decision was. I also need to have a closer look at the hole configuration in the rim to see if it it machined to suit a stepped nut such as this. Is the pic of the stepped nut off a GU alloy or the tri star GQ alloy?Quote:

The telltale is the Nissan Logo embossed into the end. clip them over the nut and line the logos up so they are not big yellow jiggers. I didnt bother. I put grease on my studs an a torque wrench to 120nm and have never had a single nut loosen in 20 years.
OK, we use these on site but apparently they dont tighten the wheel nuts as you drive along as we still have mining utes losing wheels!!! Might be a toyota thing??Quote:
