I cannot see the compass from my side, but its a small crappy one anyway
originally I had this - temp / compass / time, as SWMBO kept annoying me wanting to know the time - as you can see, I have the dash pod on top of the dash - meh...... still havent decided to move the radio & UHF into yet....

then I got the Left Hand Pillar pod and put a clock in that for her, and the compass..... but its crappy

Thanks BC think Ill go the LHS pillar pod route, the LED clock in the dash is crapola IMO,
so I bought a 52mm white face job, just waiting on some more info from the Ritches compass
PPL.
Bit restricted on top of the dash on how to run the wires.

Hey TD, I made my own center consoles (roof and floor) and fitted a compass out of an aircraft I used to fly. Start and house battery volyages either side actuated by a toggle switch. Doesn't restrict view from drivers side, yet easy to read. Added a pic of my pillar pod (2 x gauge) but both are duel gauges so i have oil temp/pressure and EGT/Boost.
You could modify an overhead console if you don't want to make your own.

For anyone with an centre dash pod, where or how are you getting the power to the gauges.
