As Peter Griffith would say ,,,,,,,it's ,,,,,,,,, awesome
Is the chassis painted with POR15 or a two pac of any kind
are you welding any plates on the rear of chassis for strength

Chassis is primed and poly-urethaned.
Rear shock mounts have already been braced and a bolt on tower brace (still to go back on) from previous owner.
I think I will have to shave the top chassis rails to clear the larger than stock exhaust manifolds. (Don't buy an engine off SoCal. Will be at least nine months from order. Not happy Jan)
Next week I will measure up and order two sets of Arctic flares, one to fit and a spare replacement set :-/
Trial fit drivetrain to check that my PTO will clear front driveshaft on full up travel. Assuming it is OK we will cut out floor to suit. Portal to sump clearance check as well.
Told a couple of work mates about this engine.
I told them 900hp and over 2gs nm but they would believe me.
For the life if me I couldn't remember who's thread it was and where I saw it.
After probably 2weeks of thinking about it it came to me, found you thread and proved it.
All I got out of them was " faaaaaaaaaaaaark, faaaaaaaaaaaaark, faaaaaaaaaaark". Lol
Thx.
Do you have an update on your build?
Yes I have been away for a few weeks.
I did get to go for a 4wd in the Dubai dunes thanks to the amazing hospitality of Bulbous from Patrol 4x4 forum.
As always, progress has been slower than I would like but some has been made.
The wheels and portals have been installed so we are back to a rolling chassis again.
The dummy engine was installed. We found that the sump fouled on the braced diff housing on full compression and the larger exhaust manifolds also fouled on the chassis rails.
So time for some more mods :1087:
Climax Industries have replaced the engine mounts to raise engine to maximum height available. Exhaust now clears without chassis modifications and we havent had to reduce bump stop height very much.
Because we were already messing around Climax Industries are fitting hydraulic front bump stops, custom suspension mounts, custom springs and shocks, custom chassis torsion bar etc.
Once the suspension mods are completed, the new engine will be installed. The exhaust system will then be designed and installed. The cab will be cut and shut to suit and then we can begin the plumbing and wiring process.
Two sets (incase I damage them) of 35" front Arctic Flares are on their journey to Australia now as well

What a project, thanks for the update
