Wow mate! Coming along really good.
she's looking good mate
I finished fitting and wiring the winch today, I just need to get in to town to pick up some new high tensile bolts for the bar. I also ordered some Outback Ideas recovery points and they arrived this morning thanks @threedogs. I am pretty keen to use the winch and recovery points in the field.
We are heading away for a few days on Thursday so I had a look under the bonnet and there is a small amount of coolant sitting on the top of the water pump housing, I think it is coming from the thermostat housing. I just hope I can get the parts tomorrow.
I will put up some pictures of the winch on the car tomorrow.
With the winch on and an oil change we headed off to one of my wifes cousins place near Warburton for a few days.
We went on a night drive and a drive up Lake mountain to show the kids snow. The pink lady performed well.

Whilst we were there I had a fish for trout and had a look around for a Sambar stag, I saw one Doe and no fish either.

We also tried another track during the day it consisted of very wet clay we only got about 20m's up it before the all terrains lost traction and we slid back down part of the way. It was very slick and raining so we decided to leave the inaugural winch use for another day.

Then with a free afternoon for the family and I today, we headed to a track not far from our property that had bested the Pink Lady prior to the fitting of the LSD and winch.
I am glad to say that we made it a little further this time with the LSD, and to the top of the track with the winch. I didn't get any pics of the winch in action as I was to busy concentrating. The Runva 11xp pulled us up the rock step no problems.

As we had finally made it up a previously unexplored hill (for us) we were quite surprised to find that the track went down into a valley with a few good tracks peeling off it. One in particular that we decided not to tackle alone as about 3/4 of the way there was a nasty rock step about 1m high.

My pictures really don't do the inclines justice.
At this stage the patrol is everything I had hoped it would be, we have already had some memorable moments in the old girl. This forum has also helped further our enjoyment, and we appreciate that.
Looks like some fun mate... I will organise another trip soon mate.
