I knew immediately it was gulf country . :) I reckon you'll might get a vote off me when I do my voting toward the end of the month. Would've been an interesting life contract fencing up there I reckon? What's that on the concrete at your feet?

It was a great life Cuppa, we lived in a caravan that we towed around the property camping at the bores and windmills.

That's my welding helmet at my feet.
It's actually sitting on a block of wood, used as a packer to level the gates before welding the hinges.

Zebra finches are a reliable indicator of water nearby. In this case a dripping tap close to the cyclone fence at a Barkly Highway rest area.
