Stretchers with self inflating mattresses. Also polar fleece blankets doubled over and sewn up halfway
up one side inside the sleeping bags. Toasty as.

That's a cracker of a little trailer there rusty! There are a couple of reasons I don't want a trailer at this stage, one no where to store it, don't like paying extra for the barge and trying to get into the camp areas of main beach on straddie can be hard enough as it is let alone with a trailer!

If we ever find that we no longer can or want to climb a ladder to go to bed, the roof topper will go & be replaced with either a Tvan like this, or I'll build an off road teardrop. I do like the Tvan's a lot, but don't need much of what they offer. Everything is already in the pod so we would only need a towable 'shell for a 'bedroom'.
I sleep where ever I land...lol
Love my freezer suit

Found a photo of my humble abode... tarp off the bullbar is because a mate was sleeping under it, I was on the stretcher under the awning.

A bedroom is all we use the Tvan for, the reason being as stated above by Cuppa.
We use the set up in the pod all the time for cooking etc.
Hi All,
We had a Hannibal rooftop tent which was amazing. Very easy set up and easy to pack up in the morning too. Only down side is for city driving it was had to fit into most car-parks. We got rid of it tho after we had our son because we wanted a ground tent. Now we have the Coleman easy set up tent. So far very easy to set up but bloody freezing in winter. Probably would have been better off with a canvas option.
We tried one of the self inflating mattresses but could not for the life of us get the air out again. Li just goes the swag option if he is camping with the boy tho. Less fuss.
Cheers,
Maria from MUDMAP
