its funny how most of us can safely drive tracks like in your avatar squalo but all to often its the "safer" highways that create problems.......

Too right.
In my case, complacency was a big factor in shaping the course of events. I've always been a switched-on road user, that's how you stay alive as a motorcyclist. But it's quite a few years since I've ridden and clearly my level of competence has declined. Might be time to get a bike on the road again and sharpen up the skills.
I was thinking before Murray, i bet your very glad your car has all legal mods now mate !
Sorry to hear about the incident mate, but glad to hear you're still around to write here about it, as it could have been much more sinister.
So glad that you are still alive mate. Sorry to hear bout the car though. Hope everything works out well for you mate.

G'day mate,
Sorry to hear about your accident and has everyone else has stated, you can replace the Patrol. As long as you are OK, that's what is important!
PS, now you too can buy a 3lt Patrol cheaply and join me on the DARK-SIDE by doing an engine swap with a Cummins 5.9lt turbo diesel! lol
Regards,
