Onya ferret. Seems to the only joint to buy second hand in Aus. No one else has anything.
Having owned a duel fuel vehicle spark plugs and leads are the most common thing for causing back fires , use good quality spark plugs like ngk split fire and get someone to check resistance in leads. Again if you have a faulty lead make sure you buy quality.
spark plugs, leads, check all the vaccuum hoses if they've become brittle and come undone.
try starting on petrol and then switch to gas after a few minutes.
